Mayor Janice S. Mironov and the East Windsor Township Health Advisory Board invite residents to participate in the Township’s second Community Walk and Talk on Saturday, September 26, at 9 A.M., at Etra Lake Park, 9 Disbrow Hill Road. The rain date is Saturday, October 3.

Participants will walk the approximately one-mile Etra Lake Park pathway and may complete the route multiple times at their own pace and discretion. The event is part of East Windsor Township’s participation in the Mayors Wellness Campaign, an initiative sponsored by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute to encourage healthier and more active communities.

The theme of the Wellness Walk is: “Take a walk. Meet your neighbors. Feel better together.”

East Windsor Health Advisory Board Chairman Jay Mermelstein and Vice-Chairwoman Antoinette Holder stated, “Walk and Talk is a community wellness initiative designed to encourage physical activity, promote overall health and strengthen connections among residents. Through a relaxed Saturday morning walk, participants can enjoy a simple and accessible form of exercise while meeting neighbors, engaging in conversation and supporting a shared commitment to community well-being. Our goal is to make health and wellness approachable for residents of all ages and abilities by encouraging regular movement, social interaction and active participation in the East Windsor community.”

Mayor Mironov and Council Members recently joined Health Advisory Board Chairman Jay Mermelstein and Vice-Chairwoman Antoinette Holder in signing the Mayors Wellness Campaign Annual Pledge of Participation. The Community Walk and Talk is one of the Township’s activities supporting its ongoing participation in the statewide Mayors Wellness Campaign.
