2017 Summer Camp Information

Explorer Camp (For campers entering 1st & 2nd Grade)

Explorer Day Camp is a great place for younger kids, where they can have safe and organized fun!  Explorer Campers stay busy and entertained all day with games, cool crafts, water activities, special events, and making friends with our qualified counselors. Campers will go on a weekly field trip to an entertaining and age-appropriate attraction.  For Summer Camp 2017, trips will include the Crayola Factory and Pirates on the Manasquan and weekly trips to Water Works in West Windsor.  Water Works offers a zero depth entry pool and also a children’s pool. Weekly fees include the cost of field trips, shows, swimming, and one camp T-shirt to use during the entire summer. If your child attended camp last year, we will be using the same neon green shirts for your convenience. Additional shirts will be available to purchase on a first come, first serve basis. This camp is being offered at Hightstown High School, and is held from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. daily, with extended camp care options available. Fees are $180 per week/ $110 for week 2. The weekly fee for Hightstown residents is $205, with a reduced rate of $135 for week 2.  Please call for more information.

Adventure Day Camp (For campers entering grades 3rd through 6th)

Elementary school kids will have a great summer at our Adventure Day Camp Program.  Campers will play games, make crafts, play sports, swim, attend special camp events, and go on a weekly field trip!  Weekly trips include favorites like Sahara Sam’s and Medieval Times! With so much to do at our Adventure Camp, kids are sure to have a fun-filled summer with us and our experienced staff! Weekly fees include the cost of field trips, day trips, and one camp T-shirt to use during the entire summer. If your child attended camp last year, we will be using the same neon green shirts for your convenience. Additional shirts will be available to purchase on a first come, first serve basis. This camp is being offered at Hightstown High School, and is held from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. daily, with extended camp care options available. Fees are $180 per week/ $110 for week 2. Travel Camp (For campers entering grades 6th through 9th and open to students entering 5th grade who attended the 2016 Junior Travel Camp)

The Travel Camp program is the place to be for campers who still love the experience of summer camp, but are ready for something a bit more adventurous!  Every day, campers will travel to a new destination; there are no repeats, so every day is new and exciting! Campers are well-chaperoned throughout the day by our professional and experienced staff.   Weekly fees include the cost of admissions to all trips, transportation to each trip, and three camp T-shirts to use during the entire summer. If your child attended camp last year, we will be using the same neon green shirts for your convenience. Additional shirts will be available to purchase on a first come, first serve basis. Campers are to be dropped off at the Hightstown High School at 9 A.M. and picked up at 4 P.M. daily.  Some days are extended for trips that are further away, with advance notice given to all parents.  Extended camp care options are available. Fees are $285 per week/ $170 for week 2. The weekly fee for Hightstown residents is $310, with a reduced rate of $195 for week 2. Please call for more information.

2017 SUMMER CAMP POSITIONS . The positions include camp supervisors, camp counselors, before and after camp care staff, swim instructors, lifeguards, and (non-paying) counselors-in-training. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Township Recreation Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or on-line at ( CLICK HERE ). Individuals 18 years and older will be subject to a criminal background check. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
