ASSISTANT GENERAL FOREMAN- DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS- EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, Mercer County. Full-time 40 hour work week position with periodic mandatory overtime. Under the direction of the Public Works Director and General Foreman, supervises and coordinates activities of employees in the care and maintenance of Township Parks, playgrounds, public facilities and grounds. Supervises approximately 30 employee's and independent contractors. Assists, supervises and assigns daily tasks to park and custodial employees. Organizes, develops and implements work programs and schedules. Enforces safety regulations and instructs personal on proper use of the safety equipment. Conducts periodic inspections of equipment, machinery and tools. Plows snow and salts roads during snow emergencies. Processes purchase requisitions for supplies and  materials as required. In the absence of the General Foreman the Assistant General Foreman will assume the responsibilities of the General Foreman. A strong background in road repairs, building and park maintenance, and snow removal are required. A minimum of 5 years related experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role is required. BUS DRIVERS- East Windsor Township, Mercer County. Full-Time Bus Driver (35 hr work week) and On-Call Part-Time Bus Drivers for the East Windsor Township Senior Center. The Bus is used to transport participants to various area location appointments, as well as trips for recreational purposes. Oversees use of Bus per Township schedule and requirements. Requires a valid New Jersey Bus Drivers License with CDL Class A or B License with a passenger endorsement. SEASONAL EMPLOYEE - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

40-hour work week, working outdoors, performing manual heavy labor in all weather conditions. Limited employment durations and release at the end of the season is expected. PROBATIONARY POLICE OFFICER

The East Windsor Township Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. Following are the requirements of the position:

  • Be a citizen of the United States of America
  • Be a resident of the State of New Jersey at time of appointment
  • Be more than 21 and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment
  • Be sound in body and of good health sufficient to satisfy the Board of Trustees of the Police Retirement System of New Jersey that such person is eligible to membership in the retirement system
  • Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
  • Be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude
  • Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license
