East Windsor Township, Mercer County. Full-time 40 hour work week position. Teamsters Local 469 Union position. Works under direction of Director of Public Works, General Foreman and Chief Mechanic. Responsibilities include but not limited to performing repairs on a variety of light and heavy equipment such as refuse compactors, parks maintenance equipment, tractor-mowers, snow plow equipment, dump trucks and police cars. Must be efficient in welding and burning operations, capable to pick up and handle safely 75 pounds of weight to a height of 3 feet above the ground and capable of safely climbing all size ladders. Must be available in snow emergencies and willing to work in other divisions when requested. Valid NJ driver's license and class B CDL required. Minimum 4 years' experience, including formal training in the maintenance of light and heavy equipment.  Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations needed.

Substantial public interaction. Requires computer skills and mathematical aptitude. Tax collection office experience valuable. Responsibilities include receiving and processing tax payments, maintaining taxpayer records and files, looking up needed tax information, assisting with tax sale preparation, and managing phone calls and correspondence. 40-hour work week, working outdoors, performing manual heavy labor in all weather conditions. Limited employment durations and release at the end of the season is expected. The East Windsor Township Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. Following are the requirements of the position:

  • Be a citizen of the United States of America
  • Be a resident of the State of New Jersey at time of appointment
  • Be more than 21 and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment
  • Be sound in body and of good health sufficient to satisfy the Board of Trustees of the Police Retirement System of New Jersey that such person is eligible to membership in the retirement system
  • Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
  • Be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude
  • Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license
