ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

East Windsor Township, Mercer County. Full-time 35 hour work week, non-union position. Assists DPW Director and Division Directors. Handles purchasing, maintains personnel files, tracks vehicle maintenance processes park reservations, oversees schedule for department activities, handles citizen calls and email inquiries, and clerical needs. Minimum of Bachelor's degree, knowledge of Windows, Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook and Edmunds Financial Software preferred. ASSISTANT TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE

East Windsor Township, Mercer County. Full-time, 35 hour per week, non-union position with benefits. Provides administrative support to assist in the efficient delivery of police services to Township residents and businesses. A strong background in budget preparation and administration, public purchasing, bidding and bid specification are required. Candidates should have creative problem solving, organizational, supervision, personnel, and grant writing skills. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, due to exposure to contractual matters, police disciplinary actions, personnel issues and confidential police investigations. SEASONAL EMPLOYEE - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

40-hour work week, working outdoors, performing manual heavy labor in all weather conditions. Limited employment durations and release at the end of the season is expected. PROBATIONARY POLICE OFFICER

The East Windsor Township Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. Following are the requirements of the position:

  • Be a citizen of the United States of America
  • Be a resident of the State of New Jersey at time of appointment
  • Be more than 21 and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment
  • Be sound in body and of good health sufficient to satisfy the Board of Trustees of the Police Retirement System of New Jersey that such person is eligible to membership in the retirement system
  • Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
  • Be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude
  • Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license

Applicants must possess a Full New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification for Basic Course for Police Officers. A copy of the candidate's Police Training Certificate must accompany each resume / cover letter.
