East Windsor Township will hold a Community Remembrance Ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11 on Thursday, September 10 at 5 P.M., to honor the victims and survivors of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the many heroes who responded with extraordinary courage and selflessness.

The ceremony will take place at the Township’s 9/11 Memorial, located on the grounds of the East Windsor Municipal Building, 16 Lanning Boulevard.

Participants will include representatives of the school district and clergy, veterans, police officers, volunteer firefighters, scouts and local officials.

Mayor Janice S. Mironov stated, “As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, we come together as a community to remember the lives lost, honor the survivors and recognize the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the first responders and countless others who came forward to help. We invite our residents to join us in remembrance and reaffirm our commitment that We Will Never Forget.”

The public is encouraged to attend and join Township officials and community members in this special observance.

While the Community Remembrance Ceremony will be held on September 10 in respect of the religious holiday, East Windsor Township also will commemorate the September 11 anniversary on Friday, September 11, with a morning observance at the Municipal Building.
