New Jersey Conference of Mayors Presents to East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov 2026 NJCM President's Award

At the recent New Jersey Conference of Mayors (NJCM) Annual Conference in Atlantic City, East Windsor Township Mayor Janice S. Mironov was honored with the NJCM President’s Award, one of the organization’s highest recognitions for distinguished service and leadership.
The President’s Award recognizes “the exceptional service and commitment of a mayor to the NJCM organization” and honors an individual who has demonstrated unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and tireless efforts in advancing the goals and initiatives of the Conference.
In presenting the award, outgoing NJCM President and Dunellen Mayor Jason Cilento praised Mayor Mironov’s longstanding leadership and contributions to municipal government across New Jersey.
“Mayor Mironov’s leadership, policy expertise, and mentorship make her exceptionally deserving of this distinguished honor,” said Mayor Cilento. “She exemplifies the spirit of this recognition through her unwavering dedication and tireless commitment to advancing the mission and impact of the Conference.”
Mayor Cilento continued, “She has been a tireless advocate for municipalities throughout New Jersey and a respected leader not only within the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, but across the entire local government community. Her experience, policy expertise, and commitment to public service have strengthened the voice of mayors statewide and helped guide countless local leaders through some of the most significant challenges facing our communities. Her steady leadership, institutional knowledge, and thoughtful counsel have been invaluable to all of us.”
He added, “On a personal note, Mayor Mironov has been both a mentor and a friend. She was one of the guiding forces who encouraged me to become more involved with the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, and I am deeply grateful for her support, encouragement, and example.”
Accepting the award, Mayor Mironov expressed appreciation to Mayor Cilento and her colleagues across the state.
“I am deeply honored and grateful for this special recognition from the New Jersey Conference of Mayors and my fellow mayors from throughout the State,” said Mayor Mironov. “The NJCM provides a valuable opportunity for mayors to work collaboratively in serving our local residents, while partnering with State officials to advance policies and programs that strengthen our communities and move New Jersey forward.”
Mayor Mironov has maintained a long and distinguished record of leadership within statewide municipal organizations. She previously served as President of both the New Jersey Conference of Mayors and the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. She currently serves as an NJCM Executive Board Member, a member of the NJCM Legislative Committee, and as the Conference’s Legislative Relations and Advocacy Liaison, a position created to strengthen the organization’s legislative outreach and policy advocacy efforts.
