I Want to Move Into an Existing Space, Not Requiring Renovation

When a business proposes to move into existing space not needing renovations (or a building permit), the business applies to the Construction Department for a Continuing Certificate of Occupancy (CCO). When the business picks-up an application for the CCO, the Construction Department will notify the Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman will contact the business and offer to assist the applicant with the permit process, if he/she has not already been in contact with the business.

The Ombudsman will assist and stay with the business all the way through the process until the project is complete.
