From the New Jersey Turnpike

Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 8. After you go through the toll booth remain on Route 133 west.  Take the exit for One Mile Road and make a left turn onto One Mile Road.  Make a left at the traffic light onto Route 571.  Make a left turn at the first traffic signal for Lanning Boulevard.  The Municipal Building is on the right-hand side.

From Route 33 (Freehold Area)

Take Route 33 west towards Hightstown and turn onto Route 133 west. Follow to the exit for One Mile Road and take that exit, then making a left turn onto One Mile Road. Make a left at the traffic light onto Route 571.  Make a left turn at the first traffic signal for Lanning Boulevard.  The Municipal Building is on the right-hand side.

From Route 130 - South of East Windsor

Take Route 130 North to Route 571 (also known as Princeton-Hightstown Road). Make a left turn onto Route 571. Make a right turn at the first traffic signal for Lanning Boulevard.  The Municipal Building is on the right-hand side.   

From Route 130 - North of East Windsor

Take Route 130 South to Route 571 (also known as Princeton-Hightstown Road). Make a right turn onto Route 571. Make a right turn at the first traffic signal for Lanning Boulevard.  The Municipal Building is on the right-hand side.   

From Route 1

Take Route 1 to Route 571 (also known as Princeton-Hightstown Road). Turn onto Route 571 heading east away from Princeton. Go to your 11th traffic light and make a left turn onto Lanning Boulevard. The Municipal Building is on the right-hand side. 

From Interstate 195

Take Interstate 195 to Route 130 North (exit 5B) heading towards New York. Proceed approximately 8 miles on Route 130 North to Route 571 (also known as Princeton-Hightstown Road). Make a left turn onto Route 571. Make a right turn at the first traffic signal for Lanning Boulevard.  The Municipal Building is on the right-hand side.

Bill Pay

Traffic tickets not requiring a Court appearance can be paid online at www.njmcdirect.com, in person at the violations bureau, or mailed to the following address:  East Windsor Court, 80 One Mile Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520.  Include summons with the payment.

For Non-traffic matters, payments may be paid in person at the violations bureau or sent through the mail to the above address.  Please include the complaint number along with the payment.

Pay Taxes Online

Please note that payments are subject to a convenience fee of $1.05 for e-check payments, $3.95 for Visa debit card payments and 2.95% for all other credit or debit card payments.

Residents can pay water and sewer bills online at http://eastwindsormua.com/pay-your-bill/ or by mailing the check and payment stub to East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, 7 Wiltshire Drive, East Windsor, NJ 08520.

 

Police and Courts

Court Closings due to weather conditions will be posted on the Township website.  

The Records Bureau is open 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday (except holidays). 
The Records Bureau is located inside the East Windsor Police/Court Building located at 80 One Mile Road.

Specially trained members of the East Windsor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit can inspect and properly install child safety seats for Township residents by appointment.  To make an appointment for a Child Safety Seat Inspection, call the Police Department at (609) 448-5678 ext. 0.     

Burglar alarms must be registered with the Township.  To register a burglar alarm, contact the Police Department Records Bureau at (609) 448-5678 ext. 225 to obtain the necessary application and instructions for alarm registration, or Click Here.

Marriage Licenses are taken by Appointment Only. To schedule an appointment, call the Health Department at (609) 443-4000 ext. 222. One of the applicants MUST be an East Windsor Resident to apply! Click here to review what you need to bring to your appointment. 

A permit is required to construct, enlarge, alter or demolish a structure.  Any project which changes any existing structure or adds to that structure requires a permit, including the following:

  • Deck
  • Swimming Pool
  • Addition to a house
  • Garage
  • Shed
  • Replacing siding or roofing
  • Rearrange plumbing system
  • Install new water heater, furnace or boiler
  • Install new or replace central air conditioning
  • Install new electric receptacles, outlets, lights
  • Repair or replace any structural member, such as increasing the size of a window or door.
