Petco Opens New Store in Windsor Center in East Windsor Township

Mayor Janice S. Mironov, joined by Council Members Denise Daniels, Perry Shapiro and John Zoller and local store employees, cut the ribbon for the grand opening of Petco’s new 15,643 square foot store, next to Staples, in Windsor Center at the intersection of Route 130 South and Route 571 (Princeton Hightstown Road).  Petco is a leading pet specialty retailer which provides products and services for pet owners, from food to toys and apparel, as well as grooming, training and clinics. 

Mayor Mironov stated, “We are excited to welcome Petco to the modernized Windsor Center, which has recently undergone significant attractive improvements, and is located in a prime central area of the Township.  Petco represents another national retailer making a home in East Windsor, which has become an increasingly attractive locale for national retailers due to many factors, including our superior location, the vibrant local economy and our proactive efforts to support and encourage business.  Petco is yet another well-known retailer that will enhance shopping and service options for local residents and others in our region.”

Petco, a leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services, operates more than 1,500 locations across the United States and Mexico.  Petco stores provide a one-stop shopping experience where pet owners can purchase anything from pet food to toys and apparel, while addressing the health and grooming needs of pets.  The new store will offer dog training areas, adoption centers, and grooming salons.  Current hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm, and Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm.  For further information, visit their website at www.petco.com.  

Windsor Center is located at 440 Route 130 South, on the busy corner of Route 130 and Princeton Hightstown Road (County Route 571).  Other tenants include supermarket Aldi, Ross Dress for Less, Staples, Retro Fitness, PNC Bank and Smashburger.
