Windsor Grand Cafe Opens on Route 130 North in East Windsor Township

Mayor Janice S. Mironov joined restaurant partners Jimmy Manetas and Basil Karakatsanis, along with Council Members, to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Windsor Grand Café. The new restaurant is located in the former Clairmont Diner on Route 130 North, just south of Princeton Hightstown Road.

The new restaurant has been remodeled so that the interior includes a dining area and a separate modern lounge area with large screen televisions. Windsor Grand Café offers a Mediterranean American menu featuring an assortment of dishes including various selections of chicken, pork, pasta, fish and beef. Each main course is accompanied by a salad and two of the 20 available side dishes. A brunch menu is also offered on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 11 am.

Mayor Mironov stated, "Windsor Grand Café is another great addition to the many thriving and diverse group of restaurants located in East Windsor. Co-Owner Basil Karakatsanis has already enjoyed much success here as operator of Basils’s and developed a strong local following in our community because of his commitment to great food and superior service. Mayor Mironov continued, “Co-Owner Jimmy Manetas brings over 40 years of experience operating well known successful restaurants throughout New Jersey such as Mastoris Diner and Town and Country Diner in Bordentown and Landmark Diner in Edison. The vast experience of the new owners, coupled with the restaurant’s great location on Route 130, are sure to make Windsor Grand Café a favorite of area residents.”

Jimmy Manetas stated, “We are extremely excited about opening Windsor Grand Café in East Windsor. The Township continues to attract great businesses to the community and the Route 130 site is an ideal location for our restaurant. Mr. Manetas continued, “Mayor Mironov and Township staff has been very helpful in guiding us throughout the entire process and we look forward to serving great food in a relaxing family environment.” Basil Karakatsanis stated, “We offer a large variety of cuisine because our goal is to satisfy the wide-ranging tastes of our customers. My motto is ‘Your taste is my passion’ and I look forward to offering an assortment of great food at our new restaurant.”
