Mayor Janice S. Mironov Delivers Meals to Local Seniors During Mercer County Meals on Wheels "Community Champions Week"

For Release:  April 2, 2026

Mayor Janice S. Mironov joined volunteers from Meals on Wheels of Mercer County to deliver meals to homebound and seniors as part of the organization’s annual “Community Champions Week.” The week-long event encourages elected officials, community leaders and dedicated volunteers to raise awareness about senior hunger and isolation, celebrate the program’s vital services, and recruit new volunteers.

Mayor Mironov noted, “Meals on Wheels is more than a meal delivery program — it provides daily human connection, support and comfort to our seniors and homebound residents. We are grateful to the volunteers whose dedication makes this program possible and helps seniors stay independent and connected to the community.”

Meals on Wheels of Mercer County delivers meals Monday through Friday to seniors across East Windsor and surrounding Mercer County communities. Volunteers with flexible schedules are welcome to join the effort and make a meaningful impact.
