East Windsor Township is inviting high school students to participate in a design competition for the Township’s new reusable shopping bag, which will be distributed at this year’s National Night Out and other community events by the Environmental Commission. 

The competition invites students to create original artwork with environmental features and messaging promoting East Windsor Township’s sustainability. The first-place design will be featured on Township reusable shopping bags, and the winning student will receive a gift card and recognition at a Township Council meeting.

Mayor Janice S. Mironov stated, “Through this competition, we encourage our high school students to focus on promoting the importance of and approaches to sustainability and community engagement. We look forward to seeing the unique ideas and artistic talent of our high school students promoting the environment.”

Submissions will be evaluated based on creativity and how well the design communicates, visually promoting environmental and sustainability information on behalf of East Windsor Township. Full submission guidelines, deadlines and eligibility requirements are available at www.east-windsor.nj.us. Entries should be submitted to deputyclerk@east-windsor.nj.us by Monday, April 13, 2026.
