  3. Residents Are Encouraged to Register and Urge Other Residents to Register to Receive E-News Updates and Alerts. E-News is used for alert communications in significant weather and service impacted situations, as well as generally weekly to provide information on new businesses and stores, roadway projects, grants, special events and other subjects of public interest. (CLICK HERE) or visit the East Windsor Township website at www.east-windsor.nj.us to register for E-News. East Windsor officials seek to expand resident subscribers. Register to Receive Nixle Communications System Alerts and Urge Other Residents to Register to Receive Nixle Alerts, to receive real time texts about safety and health subjects, such as current COVID-19 information, as well as severe weather conditions, traffic disruptions, road closures, flooding, power outages, and significant community updates. Residents can register for the notifications by texting "08520" to the number 888-777 from their cell phone. Residents also can register online (CLICK HERE) to receive the notifications via email and/or mobile phone. IMPORTANT NOTE: Regardless of your zip code, you must use 08520 to receive East Windsor related Nixle alerts. PLEASE SEND THIS NIXLE INFORMATION TO YOUR EAST WINDSOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ENCOURAGING THEM TO SIGN-UP.
  5. REMINDER ALERT: Residents are Required By Law to Respond to the 2020 CENSUS. If you have not already responded, it is important that you complete the 10-minute questionnaire now. Census information is confidential and protected by law. Your participation by completing the Census Questionnaire is extremely important to our community, as the results will be used to direct billions of dollars in federal and state funds, determine the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives and state legislative districts, as well as allocate other important resources. Visit my2020Census.gov to complete the questionnaire online. If you need assistance, or are unable to respond online and would like a paper questionnaire, please call the 2020 Census toll-free at 1-844-330-2020.
  6. Meals on Wheels of Mercer County Is Actively Seeking Volunteers During the COVID-19 Situation. The Meals on Wheels program delivers meals daily to local homebound seniors and is looking for volunteers to assist in picking up meals from the Meals on Wheels central location in Lawrence for delivery from 10 A.M. to noon. Interested volunteers should call the Meals on Wheels of Mercer office at (609) 695-3483.
  7. East Windsor Recreation Department is Accepting Applications for 2020 Summer Camp Positions. The positions include camp supervisors, camp counselors, lifeguards, before and after care camp staff, and (non-paying) counselors-in-training. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Township Recreation Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 214 or online at (CLICK HERE). Individuals 18 years and older will be subject to a background check. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
  8. East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp Registration Is Open for Township Residents. Recreational day camps will be offered for students entering grades Kindergarten through 6. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1 and the Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. Our 2020 Travel camps are offered for campers entering grades 5 through 9. Camp Care for before and after care of campers is also available for an additional fee.
