  1. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Will Present "State of East Windsor Township" Address at Event on Thursday, June 5 from 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). The Mayor's annual address will include a report on accomplishments in 2024 and 2025 as well as Township goals for this year. Mayor Mironov's topics will include new business and commercial development updates, budget and financial subjects, Township recreation and senior services projects, local roadway and safety improvements, environmental initiatives, and other local topics of interest. All local businesses and interested members of the community are welcomed to attend. Light refreshments will be served. There is no registration fee.   2. Last Day to Register to Vote in the June 10 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 20. Registration forms can be obtained at the municipal building or on-line at www.njelections.org. For individuals who want Vote by Mail (VBM) Ballots, the Application can be obtained on-line at www.njelections.org. or at the municipal building. The deadline to apply is Monday, June 9 by mail and Tuesday, June 10 in person. Completed Mail Ballots can be deposited in the Drop Box located at the Municipal Court/Police Building (80 One Mile Road) by Election Day at 8 P.M. VBM's returned by mail must be postmarked by Election Day.
  3. Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program Funded by $12,200 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety TODAY, Friday, May 16, from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at The Learning Experience (761 Route 33). The Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. East Windsor is holding a series of child safety seat inspection sessions over the 2025 spring and summer. For a full list of dates (CLICK HERE).
  4. East Windsor Township is Seeking Nominations for the 2024 Township Business Awards Program. The purpose of the program is to recognize local businesses that make special efforts to improve or contribute to the community. Mayor Janice S. Mironov explained that the three categories are: (1) Business Beautification - creating an attractive appearance, for example, through landscaping, flowers, and other enhancements to their structures and site; or (2) Community Service – providing for community contributions and service; or (3) Community Enhancement - providing any community value added aspect related to their business, for example, extraordinary job creation or an unusual or special product or opportunity. Green and sustainable practices, for example, green products, energy conservation, reduction of waste and energy consumption are encouraged and will be given more weight. Nomination forms are available at the Municipal Building and posted online at www.east-windsor.nj.us. The deadline for nominations is June 6, 2025.
  5. East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp Registration Is Open. Recreation day camps will be offered for students entering grades Kindergarten through 9. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1, the Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the 2025 Travel camps are offered for campers entering grades 5 through 9.   6. Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade Is Monday, May 26, and will kick-off at 9 A.M. on North Main Street and proceed through the center of Hightstown. The annual community event will feature many local groups including veterans associations, rescue squads and fire companies, school musical groups, scout organizations, religious organizations and other area participants.
  7. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, May 26 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, May 26, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date, which is Thursday, May 29.
