  1. East Windsor Independence Day Celebration Will Be Held on Saturday, July 2 (rain date Saturday, July 9) at Etra Lake Park. Free entertainment begins at 6 P.M. with the Jerry Rife's Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, a 6 piece band from the Delaware Valley area best known for its traditional jazz sound, followed at 7:45 P.M. by the Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One, a 6 piece ensemble from Central Jersey performing "Americana" and a variety of popular melodies. The spectacular Fireworks Display will commence immediately following the musical presentations, at approximately 9:30 P.M. Bring your blankets and chairs, and use the barbecue grills for a night of free fun at beautiful Etra Lake Park. There also will be vendors present selling refreshments.   2. East Windsor Township Is Holding Document Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event on Wednesday, July 13 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M., Rain or Shine, at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). This Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, will offer Free document shredding to East Windsor residents (no commercial drop-offs are permitted), with a limit of ten boxes per household, and until the shredding truck is full. Electronic recycling is limited to televisions, computers and accessories, monitors, fax machines, VCR's, cable boxes and telephones. Residents must remain in their vehicles at all times.   3. East Windsor Holds "Family Night in the Park" on Saturday, July 16 at 7 P.M. at Etra Lake Park Featuring a Large Screen Showing of the Movie "Encanto". Encanto is a fantasy comedy new release (2021) Disney computer-animated film; Colombian teenager Maribel Madrigal has to face the frustration of being the only member of her magical family without special powers. Prior to the start of the movie, there will be games, DJ music and dancing. These free events are made possible through the generous contributions of many area businesses.   4. Primrose School Will Begin Construction to Convert the Former Rite Aid Pharmacy on Dutch Neck Road off Route 130 into a Child Care Early Education Facility. Primrose Schools, approved by the Township Planning Board on March 28, 2022, will transform the existing 11,505 square foot facility, including construction of a 1,896 square foot building addition along with facade and property improvements. Primrose School, headquartered in Atlanta Georgia, is a national chain of accredited early childhood education centers, with over 465 franchised schools in 33 states.
  5. Alex Mudry of Boy Scout Troop 59 Completes Installation of Two New Pavilion Benches and East Windsor Community Garden Sign in Disbrow Hill Road Park. The two benches were constructed back-to-back and went under the Pavilion. The sign designating the East Windsor Community Garden was installed and placed to the left of the entrance to the garden. These new additions were constructed and installed as part of an Eagle Scout Community Project. East Windsor Township officials enthusiastically welcome boy scout and girl scout projects providing improvements and amenities to Township parks and public properties.


    Mayor Janice S. Mironov joins Boy Scout Alex Mudry to accept the new East Windsor Community Garden sign and two new benches located under the nearby existing Pavilion, constructed and installed at Disbrow Hill Road Park for his Eagle Scout project.
  6. Groups and Businesses Invited to Participate in "National Night Out" Set for Tuesday, August 2, from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the East Windsor PAL Complex, 30 Airport Road. This annual fun educational Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members in conjunction with Chief of Police James Geary, features crime watch information, emergency services equipment, music, booths and displays by area groups and businesses with information and giveaways supporting the National Night Out theme. Area community groups and businesses who wish to offer support, participate or host a booth can contact Lt. Ryan Mattek at (609) 448-5678, ext. 239, or mattek@ewpd.com.
  7. Limited Spots Available for East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp. Recreation day camps are offered for students entering grades Kindergarten through 6. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1, the Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the 2022 Travel camps are offered for campers entering grades 5 through 9. Camp Care for before and after care of campers is also available for an additional fee. Online registration and payment is available at (CLICK HERE).   8. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, July 4 due to the Independence Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, July 4, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, July 7.
