  1. East Windsor Roadway Improvements to Exeter Road, Exeter Court, Cornwall Drive, Drew Lane, Berkshire Drive, Stanford Court and Surrey Lane Have Been Completed except for remaining punch list items to be addressed by the contractor.
  2. East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp Registration Is Open. Recreational day camps will be offered for students entering grades Kindergarten through 8. The 2021 camp format will be modified to adhere to Federal and New Jersey health and safety guidelines. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1 and will have 2 classes of 14 campers each per week. The Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2 through 8. Grades 2 and 3 will consist of 3 separate classes of 14 campers each per week, and grades 4, 5 and 6 will consist of 2 separate classes of 14 campers each per week. Traditional Travel camp will not operate in 2021, but campers entering grades 7 and 8 will have the option of attending Adventure Camp which will consist of 1 separate class of 14 campers each per week. Camp care for before and after care of campers WILL BE available this year from 7 A.M. to 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. for an additional fee. Online registration and payment is available (CLICK HERE).   3. REMINDER: Last Day to Register to Vote in the June 8 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 18. Registration forms can be obtained at the municipal building or on-line at www.njelections.org. For individuals who wish to Vote by Mail, the deadline to apply is Tuesday, June 1 by mail and Monday, June 7 by 3 P.M. in person. Mail ballots must be received by Mercer County by Election Day.   4. Mayor Mironov and Council Members Acquired an Additional Open Space Property on Disbrow Hill Road. As part of Mayor and Council’s ongoing commitment to preserving open space within East Windsor, the Township has acquired a 3.64 acre property on Disbrow Hill Road, bordered on two sides by approximately 150 acres of Township-owned preserved open space. This expands the assemblage of open space helping to maintain the rural character in this area of the Township. The purchase price of $84,000 was underwritten by New Jersey Green Acres and Mercer County Open Space grants, and no local property taxpayer monies were used in this purchase. This newest acquisition furthers East Windsor Township’s Open Space Program, a longtime priority focus of the Mayor and Council, and contributes directly to expanding potential recreational opportunities, as well as enhancing the attractiveness of our community and fostering a healthier and green environment for our residents.
  5. Mercer County Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Recycling Event Will Be Held on Saturday, June 5, from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., rain or shine, at the John T. Dempster Fire School, located at 350 Lawrence Station Road in Lawrence Township. No registration is required, just proof of Mercer County residency. Residents can dispose of aerosol cans, used motor oil, propane gas tanks, pesticides, herbicides, car batteries, paint thinner, oil based paints, stains and varnishes, gasoline, anti-freeze, driveway sealer, insect repellents, and fluorescent and compact fluorescent bulbs. Used electronic equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, stereos, televisions, and microwaves will be accepted.   6. East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Scheduled to Complete the Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during the overnight hours between 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. on May 10 through May 14 in the following areas: Hickory Acres, Brooktree area, Renaissance area, Princeton East, Oak Creek Estates and sections of Route 130. This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.   7. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, May 31 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, May 31, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, June 3.
