TO EAST WINDSOR RESIDENTS

It is with great sadness that East Windsor Township announces we have lost a member of our community, who had been hospitalized, as the first reported death of a resident to COVID-19 related illness.  While this is a tragic and  personally hurtful loss, regretably in the current health crisis, we share this experience with so many communities throughout Mercer County and our State.

We ask that you join in extending our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of this victim. Our hearts go out to them.

Personal details regarding this individual, or future victims, will not be released out of respect for privacy. When someone in our community suffers a loss, we all feel this loss, so even without knowing this person's identity, our entire community grieves.

As we face these difficult times together, all are reminded that everyone in our community shares responsibility to take all precautions and help minimize the risks and spread of this virus. While the virus poses the greatest risk to older people and those with underlying health conditions, everyone plays an important part in helping to slow the spread of COVID-19.  Please continue to watch out for your family, friends, all our first responders, and our entire community, by following the advice of health care experts and the directives of government officials.

It is paramount to our entire community that every individual practice social distancing, comply with the statewide Stay at Home Order, and use good sense in all your movements and decisions.

We are thankful to everyone in East Windsor for your kind understanding, your caring for one another, and your cooperation with all required directives to work to keep our community healthy and safe.  We will continue to work through this time together.

NEIGHBORING MERCER COUNTY MUNICIPALITIES AND GREENHILL PHARMACY PARTNER TO SECURE MEDICATION FOR COVID-19 POSITIVE PATIENTS, FIRST RESPONDERS AND HOSPITALS

Greenhill Pharmacy has partnered with East Windsor Township, Robbinsville Township and Hamilton Township to provide Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate, in combination with the antibiotic Zithromax, to treat COVID-19 (coronavirus) positive patients throughout Mercer County at no cost beginning Friday, April 3, 2020.

The FDA issued an emergency-use authorization for this combination of drugs for treatment and mitigation of the impacts of COVID-19.  In lockstep with Governor Phil Murphy’s order, only individuals who have tested positive according to the State’s guidelines and have a prescription from their doctor can obtain the course of treatment. Hydroxychloroquine must be:

  2. Supported by a positive test result AND documented on the hard copy prescription
  3. Limited to a 14-day supply

The current supply will be allocated to local hospitals, residents of Mercer County (with or without insurance) and first-responders. Greenhill Pharmacy will coordinate contactless delivery via pharmacy staff or courier free to all patients. The prescription will be delivered via courier after prior arrangements are made with the patient and/or their caretaker. In order to best verify and expedite the process, your doctor should send the prescription to Greenhill Pharmacy electronically. The East Windsor-based pharmacy is open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Doctors and hospitals can contact the pharmacy at info@wilmingtonrx.com
