  1. REMINDER:   Mayor Janice S. Mironov to Present State of the Township Address on Tuesday, October 15 at East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard).  Mayor Mironov’s annual state of the Township Address will include a report on accomplishments in 2018 and 2019, as well as Township goals for the year.  Mayor Mironov’s topics will include new businesses and commercial development updates, budget and financial subjects, Township recreation and senior services projects, local roadway and safety improvements, environmental initiatives, and other topics of local interest.  Networking begins at 5 P.M. and the Mayor's remarks will begin promptly at 5:45 P.M., followed by a Q & A period.  All business and interested members of the community are invited to attend.   Light refreshments will be served.  There is no charge to attend.  To register CLICK HERE.  For further information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 246.

  2. ALERT:   Route 130/Hankins Road/Conover Road Realignment Project Work Actively Continues.  The Conover Road intersection at Route 130 will be fully CLOSED beginning on or about Monday, October 21, until project completion.  Drivers should follow posted detours.  The improvement project provides for Route 130, Hankins Road and Conover Road to be realigned to meet at a single point controlled by a traffic signal and allowing for all left-turn movements.  Upon completion, drivers will be able to make signal protected left turns from Route 130 South onto Conover Road and from Conover Road onto Route 130 South, and allow direct access across Route 130 from Conover Road to Hankins Road.  This realignment project includes drainage improvements and the relocation of existing utilities.  The project is partially funded by a $525,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.  A December 1 completion date is anticipated, weather permitting.
  3. REMINDER:   Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, October 14 Due to the Columbus Day Holiday.  Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, October 14, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, October 17.  Visit the Township website (CLICK HERE) for additional garbage collection information.
  4. Last Day to Register to Vote in the November 5 General Election is Tuesday, October 15 Registration forms can be obtained online at www.njelections.org, or from the municipal clerk's office.  Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 240.
  5. Vote By Mail Applications for the November 5, 2019 Election Are Available for Filing with the Mercer County Clerk.  New Jersey law allows residents who are registered to vote to vote by mail for any reason.  College students attending school outside the area are urged to apply as soon as possible if they do not plan on returning home to vote in the election.  Vote-by-Mail applications are available at the Municipal Clerk’s office in the East Windsor Municipal Building, or online at the New Jersey Division of Elections website (CLICK HERE).  Applications cannot be accepted by facsimile or email.  Mailed applications must be received at least seven days prior to the election.  Voters can also walk into the County Clerk's office in Trenton and apply until 3 P.M. the day before the election.  Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 238. 
  6. One Mile Self Storage Breaks Ground on Construction of New Facility on One Mile Road Adjacent to the S&P Global Building.  One Mile Self Storage is constructing an enclosed self-storage development totaling 77,268 square feet on a 7.17 acre parcel.  The facility features a unique architectural design which will mirror the look of a local farm with a large barn style building in order to blend in with the surrounding properties.

  7. East Windsor Offers Free Flu Clinic on Thursday, October 24, from 9:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard), for Township residents 60 years and older.  The vaccinations are by appointment only, by calling the Township Health Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 222. 
  8. East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 2 from 1 P.M to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 51 One Mile Road and on Saturday, November 9 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 at 69 Twin Rivers Drive.  Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination of three year duration; otherwise vaccinations of one year duration only will be provided.  For safety, all animals must be properly restrained by leash or carried.  For more information, contact the Animal Control Officer at (609) 448-5678, ext. 229 or (CLICK HERE). 
  9. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   10. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions.  The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   11. ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:  Volunteer Opportunity in Television Broadcasting Available.  If you are interested in broadcasting and would like hands-on training on a live, local television program, opportunities are available to work with the award winning "Spotlight East Windsor" program, one hour every other Wednesday night, at the East Windsor Municipal Building.  Volunteers will learn camera techniques, audio, lighting, video switching, videotape operation and much more.  Those interested should contact the Municipal Clerk’s office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237 and leave your name and contact information.
