1. East Windsor Independence Day Celebration Will Be Held on Saturday, July 5 (rain date Saturday, July 12) at Etra Lake Park. Free entertainment begins at 6 P.M. with Jerry Rife's Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, a 6 piece band from the Delaware Valley area best known for its traditional jazz sound, followed at 7:45 P.M. by the Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One, a 6 piece ensemble from Central Jersey performing "Americana" and a variety of popular melodies. The spectacular Fireworks Display will commence immediately following the musical presentations, at approximately 9:30 P.M. Bring your blankets and chairs, and use the barbecue grills for a night of free fun at beautiful Etra Lake Park. There will also be vendors present selling refreshments. This free event is made possible through the generous contributions of many area businesses.
   
   
2. Eggmania Holds Grand Opening Ceremony in Windsor Crossing Shopping Center at Intersection of Route 33 and Route 130. Eggmania, located between Green Health Massage and Bawarchi Biryani Point, offers a full menu of egg delicacies and authentic Indian street food. The extensive menu includes: Egg Samplers as masala omelet, Roll it Ups wrapped in a tortilla, variety of chicken selections, paneer dishes, kabobs, Bombay grill sandwiches, rice dishes, breads, a variety of ice creams and shakes, specialty beverages, and much more. Eggmania has 13 locations in the United States and Canada including three locations in New Jersey (Jersey City, Iselin and East Windsor). 3. East Windsor Officials Will Be Hosting "National Night Out" on Tuesday, August 5, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the East Windsor P.A.L. Complex (30 Airport Road). This annual fun educational Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members in conjunction with Chief of Police Jason Hart, features crime watch information, displays of emergency services equipment, canine drug detection demonstrations, booths and displays by area groups and businesses with information and giveaways supporting the National Night Out theme, DJ provided music and refreshments. Youth games and activities will feature jumping/climbing inflatables, climbing obstacle course, face painting and air brush tattoos. 4. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Friday, July 4 due to the Independence Day holiday. Residents of Area #2, who would normally have garbage collection on Friday, July 4, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Tuesday, July 8.
