  1. Mayor Janice Mironov, Council Member Marc Lippman and Council Member John Zoller, along with Council Member Anthony Katawick and Council Member Johnny Whittington, Were Sworn into Office at the Township January 8 Reorganization Meeting, after being successfully re-elected on November 7. Incumbents, Mayor Mironov, Council Member Lippman and Council Member Zoller began new terms in office, while Council Member Katawick and Council Member Whittington began their first elected term in office. The largely ceremonial meeting held at the Township Senior Center was attended by about 200 people and included many citizen appointments by Mayor and Council to volunteer Township Boards and Committees and various recognitions of current and past Township volunteers for their service.


    Mayor Janice S. Mironov was administered the oath of office by Mercer County Executive Daniel Benson while Council Member Marc Lippman holds the Bible.


    Council Member Marc Lippman was administered the oath of office by Mercer County Commissioner Samuel T. Frisby, Sr. while his wife Stephanie Ovadia holds the Bible.


    Council Member John Zoller was administered the oath of office by Mercer County Commissioner Board Chair John Cimino while his wife Bonnie Zoller holds the Bible.


    Council Member Anthony Katawick was administered the oath of office by Mercer County Sherriff John A. "Jack" Kemler while his wife Lisa Golod holds the Bible.


    Council Member Johnnie Whittington was administered the oath of office by Mayor Janice S. Mironov while his wife Christina Whittington and his children, James, Madison and Nicolas hold the Bible.
  2. Mayor Janice Mironov Began Another Year as Mayor at the Reorganization Meeting. At the meeting, Mayor and Council appointed David Russell to serve as Deputy Mayor. Council Members all made remarks, offering thanks to the community for their support and to Township staff and community volunteers for their work, as well as words about the past year and hopes for the upcoming new year. Mayor Mironov spoke outlining many of the Township accomplishments of 2023, and goals and projects for the coming New Year of 2024 -- including strong financial stewardship, new business and development, grant-funded roadway improvement projects, parks and recreation grant-funded enhancements, plans for grant-funded new pathway proposals, and continued strong programs and events at the expanded Senior Center.


    Deputy Mayor David Russell was administered the oath of office by Mayor Janice S. Mironov while his wife Christina Whittington and his children, James, Madison and Nicolas hold the Bible.
  3. Volunteers on Township Boards and Committees Were Honored at the Annual Reorganization Meeting for their Service to East Windsor Township and provided with Certificates of Appreciation by Mayor Janice S. Mironov. Congratulations and thank you to the Township's outstanding volunteers!

Mayor Mironov and Council Members Recognize and Thank Former Council Member Peter Yeager for His Years of Service to East Windsor Township: Mayor Mironov and Members of Council presented former Council Member Peter Yeager with a plaque and gift, thanking him for his energetic, effective and valued public service and his lasting contributions to the East Windsor community. Mr. Yeager served on the East Windsor Township Council from April 2011 through July 2023, when he resigned due to relocating outside of the State.

  5. East Windsor Dog Owners Must Obtain or Renew Licenses by January 31. All dogs seven months of age and older are required to be licensed. An additional late fee of $1.00 per month will be charged after January 31. Rabies vaccination must be valid through October 31, 2024 to obtain a 2024 dog license. Dog License applications are available from the Municipal Clerk’s Office or the Township website (CLICK HERE).   6. East Windsor Township 2024 New Year's Food Drive Continues through Mid-February. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members are asking area residents and businesses to drop off donated non-perishable food items at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) during business hours, the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) 24/7, or East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). The food drive will benefit the RISE food pantry, that provides assistance to local individuals and families.
  7. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Start the New Year by Volunteering for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   8. REMINDER: No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, January 15 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, January 15, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, January 18. Public works schedules can be viewed on the Township website (CLICK HERE).
