  1. Brand New Grant-Funded Playground Equipment Has Been Installed at Anker Park on Hickory Corner Road across from the Lee Turkey Farm. Two totally new ADA compliant age-appropriate playsets have been completely installed, which are large multi-component play systems complete with climbing options, tubes and tunnels, slides, bridges, and covered decks designed for unique, challenging and fun play for children of all ages. Other new additions include a merry-go-round, swing sets, and spring toys specifically a GT stock car and a Jumper Flyer Rocker. East Windsor was awarded a $1.3 Million state grant for parks and recreation, which is supporting the Anker Park improvements and other Township projects to come. The installation of a safety surface for the new equipment is expected to be completed by November 17, weather permitting, at which time the playground area will be reopened to the public.
  2. East Windsor Roadway Improvements to Remaining Brooktree Neighborhood Streets -- Edward Drive, Lynnfield Drive, Poplar Run and Portion of Maple Stream Road are continuing now with milling and resurfacing, after completion of all concrete work. The entire roadway work is anticipated to be completed on or about Tuesday, November 7, weather dependent.
  3. EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING REMAINS AVAILABLE Now through Sunday, November 5 at Seven Sites in Mercer County INCLUDING East Windsor: Hickory Corner Branch Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road. Early Voting hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.. The voting machines used in Early In-Person Voting are the same voting machines used on Election Day. Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County's seven early voting sites which are shown below:

  4. REMINDER: ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, and polls are open from 6 A.M. to 8 P.M. Check your Sample Ballot to confirm polling place. For questions about voting or polling place, call the Municipal Clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237.
  5. Vote By Mail Applications Must Be Returned by 8 P.M. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7. If you are completing a Vote by Mail ballot, you can place it in any secure drop box, up to 8 P.M. on Election Day, November 7. NOTE: A secure drop box is located in front of the East Windsor Municipal Court/Police Building (80 One Mile Road).
  6. East Windsor Township Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 5. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles, bringing the luminary kits and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 5 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road). All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.   7. East Windsor Township Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 4 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 51 One Mile Road and on Saturday, November 11 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M at the East Windsor Fire Company No. 2 at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination of a three-year duration; otherwise, vaccinations of a one-year duration only will be provided.   8. East Windsor "Operation Medicine Cabinet" on Saturday, October 28 Collected Additional 11.6 Pounds, Resulting in a Total of 266.6 Pounds, of unused and expired prescription medications, which were turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. "Operation Medicine Cabinet" provides a secure and legal means to dispose of these prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reduces possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs.
