  1. SPECIAL NOTICE: Early In-Person Voting Begins TOMORROW, and Is Available Saturday, October 28 through Sunday, November 5 at Seven Sites in Mercer County. Early Voting hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. The voting machines used in Early In-Person Voting are the same voting machines used on Election Day. Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County's seven early voting sites which are listed below:
    • East Windsor: Hickory Corner Branch Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    • Ewing: Mercer County Office Park, 1440 Parkside Avenue
    • Hamilton: Colonial Fire House Company, 801 Kuser Road
    • Lawrence: Lawrence Headquarters Branch Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike
    • Pennington: Pennington Fire Company, 120 Broemel Place
    • Princeton: Princeton Shopping Center, 301 North Harrison Street
    • Trenton: Trenton Fire Headquarters, 244 Perry Street
  2. Vote By Mail Applications for November 7 Election Must Be Returned by 8 P.M. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7. Completed Vote by Mail Ballots must be deposited in one of the secure Drop Boxes or if mailed postmarked by 8 P.M. on November 7. Local Dropbox for return of Vote by Mail Ballots is located at the Court/Police Building (80 One Mile Road. Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 238.
  3. REMINDER: East Windsor Will Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet on Saturday, October 28 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., a program offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unused, unwanted, and expired prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reducing possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township has a drop box in the lobby of the police/court building at 80 One Mile Road for the collection of these various medications. This special one-day collaborative event with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is intended to focus community attention on the importance and opportunity for secure and responsible disposal of medications. Collected medications will be turned over to the DEA on the next business day for final disposal. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.

  4. East Windsor Township Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 4. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles, bringing the luminary kits and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 4 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road). All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.   5. Apple Montessori School Opens New Child Care Early Education Facility in East Windsor Township. Apple Montessori's newest location is located off of Old Trenton Road just north of the intersection with County Route 571 (300D Princeton Hightstown Road). Founded in 1972, Apple Montessori Schools, accredited through the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools, offers early education and care to children 6 weeks to 6 years in programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, Kindergarten, and summer camps. Apple Montessori Schools offers spacious classrooms, a multipurpose space/gym, an outdoor saltwater swimming pool, and a certified outdoor classroom. Apple Montessori Schools currently has 17 locations across New Jersey and are designed to encourage children to explore, discover, and reach their full potential.   6. East Windsor Township Recognizes Reverend James R. Egan Upon Retirement After Forty-Five Years as Pastor of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Mayor Janice Mironov presented Reverend James R. Egan, Pastor of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, with a Proclamation honoring his forty-five years as the leader of Saint Paul's and substantial service to the entire community. During Rev. Egan's tenure as pastor, since 1978, St. Paul has experienced significant growth in the congregation, leading to the additions of an education wing and a new sanctuary. He has been an active member of the Windsor/Hightstown Area Ministerium, where he has served as president, vice president and secretary, serves as Chairperson of the Compensation Aid Task Force of the New Jersey Synod, and has mentored over 25 students from the Princeton Theological Seminary. Previously, Rev. Egan coached baseball for the Hightstown East Windsor Youth Baseball League and the boys' and girls' soccer teams for the East Windsor Police Athletic League, and he has spoken at every Township September 11 observance, participates every year in East Windsor's National Night Out, and serves as the church representative for Cub Scout Pack 53.

    Mayor Janice S. Mironov presented a Mayoral Proclamation honoring Saint Paul Lutheran Pastor Reverend James R. Egan upon his retirement after forty-five years of service to the church and community.

  7. East Windsor Township Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 4 from 1 P.M to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 51 One Mile Road and on Saturday, November 11 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination of three-year duration; otherwise, vaccinations of one-year duration only will be provided.
