  1. East Windsor Township Recognizes Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Kicks Off Township Participation in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 4. Mayor Janice Mironov, joined by Womanspace Chief Operating Officer Susan Victor, proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month stating that, "the pro-active commitment by East Windsor Township through the Domestic Violence Victim Response Team and Womanspace, visibly demonstrates to our residents and surrounding municipalities that we are united in combatting domestic violence and that it is unacceptable to our entire community." Womanspace Communities of Light is geared to raise funds for Womanspace and to raise public awareness about the important subject of domestic violence in our communities and the availability of resources for victims. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 4 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) and bringing the luminary kits to the event. All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.   2. East Windsor Recreation Hosts Halloween "Trick-or-Treat" Event on Saturday, October 21, from 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. at Kreps Middle School (moved inside due to anticipated inclement weather). The free community event, for children 12 and under, will include Halloween themed arts and crafts, one man Halloween illusion and comedy show, and Trick-or-Treat trail. Interested participants MUST be accompanied by an adult and will need to register through Community Pass (CLICK HERE).
  3. East Windsor Offers Free Flu Clinics on Thursday, October 26, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard), for East Windsor and Hightstown residents 60 years and older. The vaccinations are by appointment only, by calling the Township Health Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 222.
  4. East Windsor Will Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet on Saturday, October 28 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., a program offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reducing possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township has a drop box in the lobby of the police/court building at 80 One Mile Road for the collection of these various medications. This special one-day collaborative event with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is intended to focus community attention on the importance and opportunity for secure and responsible disposal of medications. Collected medications will be turned over to the DEA on the next business day for final disposal. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.

  5. East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 4 from 1 P.M to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 51 One Mile Road and on Saturday, November 11 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination of three year duration; otherwise vaccinations of one year duration only will be provided.   6. SPECIAL NOTICE: Early In-Person Voting Is Available from Saturday, October 28 through Sunday, November 5 at Seven Sites in Mercer County. Early Voting hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County seven early voting sites which are listed below:
    • East Windsor: Hickory Corner Branch Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    • Ewing: Mercer County Office Park, 1440 Parkside Avenue
    • Hamilton: Colonial Fire House Company, 801 Kuser Road
    • Pennington: Pennington Fire Company, 120 Broemel Place
    • Princeton: Princeton Shopping Center, 301 North Harrison Street
    • Trenton: Trenton Fire Headquarters, 244 Perry Street
  7. Vote By Mail Applications for November 7, 2023 Election Are Available on-line at the New Jersey Division of Elections website (CLICK HERE) or from the Municipal Clerk’s office. Applications must be mailed or delivered in person and cannot be submitted by facsimile or email. Mailed applications must be received at least seven days prior to the election. Voters also can apply in person at the County Clerk's office in Trenton until 3 P.M. on November 6. Completed Vote by Mail Ballots must be postmarked or returned to Dropbox by 8 P.M. on November 7. Local Dropbox for return of Vote by Mail Ballots is located at the Court/Police Building (80 One Mile Road). Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 238.
  8. Important Reminder: The third quarter 2023 tax payment grace period was extended through October 24. Any payment received after October 24 will accrue interest back to August 1, 2023. Taxpayers also can view their 3rd Quarter 2023/2024 tax bills on the Township website (CLICK HERE) and can pay through the Township on-line system. Tax payments also are accepted in person at the Municipal Building, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 P.M. Contact the Township Tax Office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 230 with any questions.
