  1. REMINDER: All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, May 29 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, May 29, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, June 1. Visit the Township website (CLICK HERE) for additional garbage collection information.
  2. REMINDER: Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade Is Monday, May 29, and will kick-off at 9 A.M. on North Main Street and proceed through the center of Hightstown. The annual community event will feature many local groups including veterans associations, rescue squads and fire companies, school musical groups, scout organizations, religious organizations and other area participants.
  3. REMINDER: East Windsor Township Offers COVID-19 Vaccination and Boosters Including Bivalent Booster Clinic on Thursday, June 1 from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the JCC Princeton Mercer Bucks & Abrams Camps (148 Cedarville Road). Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available, as well as bivalent booster doses for those who are eligible. Vaccinations and Pfizer boosters will be available for children ages 5 and older.   4. "Click It or Ticket" Seat Belt Campaign Funded by $7,000 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS), began on May 22 and will continue through June 4. The NJDHTS 2023 "Click It or Ticket It" seat belt campaign is a statewide campaign aimed at increasing compliance with State law that requires the use of seat belts. These funds will be used to pay the salaries of Township police officers who will be assigned patrol activities directed toward the identification and ticketing of motorists who fail to use seat belts as required by State law.
  5. East Windsor Child Passenger Car Safety Seat Inspection Initiative, Funded by $7,500 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, Continues on Thursday, June 8, from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Police/Municipal Court Building, and runs through September. The Child Passenger Car Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. Additional inspection sessions will take place as follows: at Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) on Monday, July 10 and Friday, September 22 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. and at the Township National Night Out event at the East Windsor PAL Complex (30 Airport Road) on Tuesday, August 1 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.
  6. Oath of Office Administered to New Police Officers Daniel Burgess and Anthony Clayton who fill police vacancies. Police Officer Daniel Burgess, an East Windsor resident, graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in April 2022 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Justice Studies from Montclair University. He previously served as a law enforcement officer with the Surf City Police Department. Police Officer Anthony Clayton graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in February 2023 and previously served as a law enforcement officer with the Seaside Park Police Department. Police Officer Burgess and Police Officer Clayton are assigned to the Uniform Services Division.

  7. East Windsor Township Offers COVID-19 Vaccination and Boosters Including Bivalent Booster Clinic on Thursday, June 8 from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard), for East Windsor and Hightstown residents 60 years and older. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available, as well as bivalent booster doses for those who are eligible. Appointments Are Required.   8. Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Recycling Event Will Be Held on Saturday, June 10, from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., rain or shine, at the John T. Dempster Fire School, located at 350 Lawrence Station Road in Lawrence Township. No registration is required, just proof of Mercer County residency. Residents can dispose of aerosol cans, used motor oil, propane gas tanks, pesticides, herbicides, car batteries, paint thinner, oil based paints, gasoline, anti-freeze, driveway sealer, insect repellants, and fluorescent and compact fluorescent bulbs. Used electronic equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, stereos, and microwaves will be accepted.
