  1. REMINDER: Early In-Person Voting Begins TODAY, Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5 at Six Sites in Mercer County, Including East Windsor at the Hickory Corner Branch Library. Early Voting hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County early voting sites below:
    • East Windsor: Mercer County Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    • Hamilton: Colonial Fire House Company, 801 Kuser Road
    • Lawrence: Mercer County Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike at Darrah Lane
    • Pennington: Pennington Fire Department, 120 Broemel Place
    • Princeton: Princeton Shopping Center, 301 North Harrison Street
    • Trenton: Trenton Fire Headquarters, 241 Perry Street

  3. REMINDER: East Windsor Child Passenger Car Safety Seat Inspection Initiative, Funded by $6,480 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, Continues on Thursday, June 9, from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Police/Municipal Court Building, and runs through September. The Child Passenger Car Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. Additional inspection sessions will take place as follows: at Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) on Monday, July 18 and Friday, September 16 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. and at the Township National Night Out event at the East Windsor P.A.L. Complex (30 Airport Road) on Tuesday, August 2 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.
  4. REMINDER: Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Recycling Event Will Be Held on Saturday, June 4, from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., rain or shine, at the John T. Dempster Fire School, (350 Lawrence Station Road, Lawrence Township). No registration is required, just proof of Mercer County residency. Residents can dispose of aerosol cans, used motor oil, propane gas tanks, pesticides, herbicides, car batteries, paint thinner, oil based paints, gasoline, anti-freeze, driveway sealer, insect repellants, and fluorescent and compact fluorescent bulbs. Used electronic equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, stereos, and microwaves will be accepted.   5. East Windsor Township Awarded 2022 Clean Communities Grant of $54,339.83. NJ Clean Communities is a state-wide litter abatement program created by State legislation and managed by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and the Clean Communities Council. The Clean Communities Act establishes a funding mechanism for the program by placing a user fee on manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors who produce litter-generating products.
  6. Mayor Janice Mironov Issues Proclamation Recognizing National Gun Violence Awareness Day -- June 3 to Moms Demand Action, Mercer County. The Mayoral Proclamation notes that, "Americans are 26 times more likely to die by gun homicide than people in higher-income nations. New Jersey has the 44th highest rate of gun deaths in the United States with 445 gun deaths every year and a rate of 5.0 deaths per 100,000 people. We renew our commitment to reduce gun violence and encourage responsible gun ownership to help keep all of our citizens and children safer". Moms Demand Action is a grassroots organization encouraging citizens to "Wear Orange" on June 3 to raise awareness about the impacts of gun violence, to encourage responsible gun ownership and use and keeping families safe.


    East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Members join with members of Mercer County Moms Demand Action to proclaim June 3 as "National Gun Violence Awareness Day" and encourage residents to "Wear Orange" as a means to honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence and to recommit ourselves to doing all that we can to reduce the impacts of senseless gun violence in our community and in our nation.   7. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Meets with Grace Norton Rogers School Student Council Members to discuss their organization activities, local government and the Mayor's duties, responsibilities, and background. The student council is made up of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders elected by the students of the Rogers School. Their mission statement is, "Strengthening the ties between our school and surrounding community through fundraisers and other activities."

  8. East Windsor Township Offers Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination and First and Second Booster Dose Clinic on Thursday, June 16 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (79 One Mile Road Ext). Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available, as well as Pfizer and Moderna Booster doses for those who are eligible. Vaccinations will be available for children ages 5 through 11. Appointments Are Required.   9. East Windsor Officials Kick Off Phase 2 of Bicycle Safety Program Distributing Mock Summonses Congratulating Children Wearing Safety Helmets during June and July. Elected officials and police officers will recognize and ask children to sign a pledge "to use a safety helmet when using a bicycle, skateboard or rollerblades." The children then will be entered in a drawing for prizes to take place at Township "National Night Out" on Tuesday, August 2.
  10. East Windsor Township Recreation Department Offering Outdoor Yoga Sessions, in conjunction with the East Windsor Health Advisory Board. Yoga in the Park will take place at Etra Lake Park beginning Wednesday, June 22 at 6 P.M. The 45 minute Yoga sessions will be led by a licensed Yoga Instructor on June 22, July 6, July 20, August 4, August 17, and August 31, weather permitting. All ages and levels welcome. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration fee of $8 per session is required. Online program registration and payment is available at (CLICK HERE).   11. East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp Registration Is Open for Township Residents. Recreation day camps will be offered for students entering grades Kindergarten through 6. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1, the Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the 2022 Travel camps are offered for campers entering grades 5 through 9. Camp Care for before and after care of campers is also available for an additional fee. Online registration and payment is available at (CLICK HERE).
