  1. REMINDER: East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 13 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination of three year duration; otherwise vaccinations of one year duration only will be provided. For safety, all animals must be properly restrained by leash or carried. All persons attending the rabies clinic are required to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose at all times, per CDC guidelines.   2. East Windsor Township Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 6. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 6 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) and bringing the luminary kits to the event. All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.     Purchase "Communities of Light" luminary kits, with six candles, at the East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) for $10 to raise funds for Womanspace. East Windsor officials and citizens will assemble on Monday, December 6 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, as a beacon of hope for the victims of domestic violence and their families.
  3. East Windsor Township Awarded $600,000 Grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for Roadway Improvements to Hawthorne Lane, Holly Drive, Iris Drive and Brooklawn Drive between Woodland Drive and Ivy Lane West. The state grant, successfully obtained by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, will fund improvements to consist of milling and resurfacing the roadways, as well as the addition of handicap ramps, upgrades to stormwater grates, and repairs to curbing and aprons as needed. The roadway improvement project will be scheduled for spring/summer of 2022.
  4. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   5. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions. The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   6. Final Township Fall Leaf Collection Passes Begin Monday, November 15. Leaf Collection for Area #1 residents will begin Monday, November 15 and end Saturday, November 20. Collection for Area #2 residents will begin on Monday, November 22 and end on Saturday, November 27. Additional full passes will be made throughout the Township beginning Monday, November 29 and concluding Friday, December 17, weather permitting. Leaves may not be put out after Wednesday, December 15 to allow crews to finish the final pass by December 17.
  7. REMINDER: East Windsor Township Offers Walk-In Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster Dose Clinic on Thursday, November 18 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (779 One Mile Road). Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna vaccines and booster doses will be available. The clinic, which is open to the public, is by walk-in and No Appointments Are Required.
