  1. East Windsor Will Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet on Saturday, October 23 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., a program offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reducing possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township has a drop box in the lobby of the police/court building at 80 One Mile Road for the collection of these various medications. This special one-day collaborative event with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is intended to focus community attention on the importance and opportunity for secure and responsible disposal of medications. Collected medications will be turned over to the DEA on the next business day for final disposal. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.
  2. SPECIAL NOTICE: New Option to New Jersey, Early In-Person Voting Is Available from Sunday, October 23 through Sunday, October 31 at Eight Sites in Mercer County. Early Voting hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County eight early voting sites which are listed below:
    • East Windsor: Mercer County Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    • Ewing: Element Ewing Princeton Hotel, 1000 Sam Weinroth Road East
    • Hamilton: Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 530 Route 130
    • Lawrence: Mercer County Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike at Darrah Lane
    • Pennington: Pennington Fire Department, 120 Broemel Place
    • Princeton: Princeton Shopping Center, 301 North Harrison Street
    • Trenton: CURE Insurance Arena, 81 Hamilton Avenue, Gate C
    • West Windsor: Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road
  3. East Windsor Offers Free Flu Clinic on Thursday, October 28, from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard), for East Windsor and Hightstown residents 60 years and older. The Flu Clinics will be drive-thru and face coverings are required. The flu vaccinations are by appointment only, by calling the Township Health Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 222.
  4. East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 6 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 (51 One Mile Road) and on Saturday, November 13 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination of three year duration; otherwise vaccinations of one year duration only will be provided. For safety, all animals must be properly restrained by leash or carried. All persons attending the rabies clinic are required to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose at all times, per CDC guidelines.   5. East Windsor Recreation Hosts Halloween “Trick-or-Treat” Event on Saturday, October 23, from 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. (rain date October 24) at Etra Lake Park (9 Disbrow Hill Road). The free community event is for children 12 and under and will include Halloween themed arts and crafts, magical illusionist and juggling circus act performance, and Trick-or-Treat trail. Interested participants MUST be accompanied by an adult and will need to register through Community Pass (CLICK HERE). In the event of inclement weather, call the East Windsor Information Hotline at (609) 443-4000, ext. 400 after 12 P.M. on the day of the event for updates.
  6. East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Conducting Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during the overnight hours between 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. on the following dates: This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.     • October 17 through October 22: Twin Rivers and Centex areas.
    • October 24 through October 29: Windsor Regency, Georgetown, Cranbury Manor and sections of Route 130.
    • October 31 through November 5: Hickory Acres, Brooktree area, Princeton East, Oak Creek Estates and sections of Route 130.
