CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP

East Windsor Township Health Department is holding COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics on Wednesdays, June 9, 16, and 23 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Walk-ins are welcome, appointments are preferred. Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines will be available. For questions or to schedule an appointment call (609) 443-3000, ext. 222 or CLICK HERE. EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP has several sites available for Vaccines:

East Windsor Township Center CVS has the Pfizer Vaccine (12 and older) and the Target Store CVS has the Moderna Vaccine. (CLICK HERE) for an appointment.

Walgreens (16 Route 571) (CLICK HERE) has the Pfizer vaccine (12 and older), Walmart (839 Route 130) (CLICK HERE) has the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and Shoprite (EW Town Center Plaza, 319 Route 130 No.) (CLICK HERE) has the Moderna vaccine

STATE OF NEW JERSEY UPDATE

The Governor issued Executive Order No. 243, (CLICK HERE) EFFECTIVE June 4, providing that most employers may allow employees who can verify that they are vaccinated not to mask or social distance. This Executive Order will also RESCIND the portion of Executive Order No. 107 regarding the requirement to accommodate remote working arrangements and to reduce on-site staffs to the minimal number necessary.

Governor Murphy previously issued Executive Order No. 242 (CLICK HERE) providing that, EFFECTIVE May 28, New Jersey will lift its indoor mask mandate for fully vaccinated people. Individual businesses and other entities which oversee indoor spaces may continue to require that employees and customers/guests wear face masks.

Masking will continue to be required in:

  • Healthcare settings and long-term care facilities
  • Correctional facilities
  • Homeless shelters
  • On an airplane, bus or train, or other forms of public transit
  • In airports, bus and train stations and other transit hubs
  • Public-facing state offices, such as Motor Vehicle Commission agencies
  • Worksites that are closed to the public, including warehousing and manufacturing facilities
  • Child-care centers and facilities
  • Youth summer camps
  • All schools

Executive Order No. 242 also provided that, EFFECTIVE May 28, the requirement for maintaining six feet of social distancing in all indoor and outdoor settings will be lifted, dance floors at bars and restaurants may reopen and the requirement that individuals remain seated while ordering and eating/drinking also will be lifted, and that EFFECTIVE June 4, all indoor gathering limits will be lifted.
