CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP

COVID-19 VACCINATION INFORMATION

While allocations of vaccine from the Federal government have been steadily increasing, the supply still remains insufficient to meet the demands of individuals currently eligible and wishing to receive the vaccine. The Township will continue to keep you informed of up to date information concerning the availability and accessibility to vaccines and updated vaccination locations.

Johnson & Johnson's "one shot" vaccine, which further does not require sub-freezing storage temperatures, was approved for an emergency use authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Saturday, February 27. New Jersey officials expect to initially receive 73,600 doses, and an additional 22,500 doses will go each to New Jersey-based Rite Aid and CVS pharmacies. Currently, 74 Rite Aid Pharmacys and 41 CVS Pharmacys are accepting vaccine appointments. To sign up for an appointment at CVS (CLICK HERE), or contact CVS Call Center at (800) 746-7287. Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in New Jersey have been selected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of their U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program to help administer COVID-19 vaccines. Specific store locations are unknown. To register with Walmart (CLICK HERE). To register with Sam's Club (CLICK HERE).
