CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP

COVID-19 VACCINATION INFORMATION

Currently, the quantity of available vaccines from the Federal government and through the State and County government, while slowly increasing, remains severely insufficient to meet the demands for individuals currently eligible and wishing to receive the vaccine. Due to this insufficient vaccine supply, patience and understanding is cautioned as demand continues to far exceed the Federal government's allocations to the State and the County. The Township will continue to keep you informed of up to date information concerning the availability and accessibility to vaccines and updated vaccination locations.

Anyone seeking a COVID-19 vaccine is strongly encouraged to register with the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS) (CLICK HERE). If you experience an error or need help registering with the NJVSS, you can complete an online form (CLICK HERE), or call toll-free 855-568-0545. You will be notified when it is time for you to schedule an appointment. For State information about COVID-19 vaccine eligibility and phasing priority (CLICK HERE).

There are currently two Mercer County regional vaccination sites – CURE Arena in Trenton, being administered by Capital Health, and at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor Township. An extremely limited number of doses are available. Currently, the State is allocating 1000 vaccines per week to each site. Residents must register with the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS) at https://covidvaccine.nj.gov. No walk-ups will be accommodated at the vaccination sites. Do not phone the Township or the County or Capital Health for appointments. For more information on the CURE Insurance Arena and MCCC vaccination sites, email Mercer County officials at publichealth@mercercounty.org

CVS Pharmacy has announced that vaccine appointments can be booked starting Thursday, February 11, with vaccinations to begin on Friday, February 12. CVS indicated that vaccines would be administered at 27 CVS locations statewide, but not all will be up and running immediately. CVS is not releasing a list of pharmacies offering vaccines because the stores will change according to vaccine availability. To sign up for an appointment, go to cvs.com/immunizations/covid-19-vaccine. For those without online access, call the CVS customer service line at (800) 746-7287. CVS has asked the public not to contact individual stores for appointments, and there will be no walk-ins.

List of Statewide Vaccination Locations and scheduling information, which include the following state-designated Mercer County sites, can be found at (CLICK HERE)

The number of vaccines available may vary, so you may need to check back several times if you are seeking an appointment at a specific location.
