  1. REMINDER: No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Township Holidays Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1 and ALL Township Offices Will Be CLOSED. Garbage Collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Tuesday, December 25, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Friday, December 28. Garbage collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Tuesday, January 1, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Friday, January 4.   2. East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Monday, January 7 at 5:30 P.M. at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard). The public is invited to attend the largely ceremonial meeting at which the Township Council makes appointments to Township boards and committees, and does various recognitions. Light refreshments will be provided following the meeting.
  3. East Windsor Township 2019 New Year's Food Drive Will Kick-Off January 1, 2019 and Continue through January 31, 2019. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members are asking area residents and businesses to drop off donated non-perishable food items at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) during business hours, the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) 24/7, or at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Food donations also can be brought to the East Windsor Reorganization Meeting on Monday, January 7 at 5:30 P.M., at the East Windsor Municipal Building. The food drive will benefit the food pantries of RISE and St. Anthony's Church, area-based organizations that provide assistance to local individuals and families.
  4. East Windsor Township Announces the Future Launch of the Nixle Communications System to Become Operational in January 2019. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Members have determined to implement the Nixle communications system, to enable immediate text messages to registered cell phones and email addresses, to alert residents and businesses about safety and health subjects of concern, such as severe weather conditions, severe traffic alert, road closures, flooding conditions, power outages, and important public health notices and other urgent community updates and important announcements. This communications tool will assist the Township in notifying large numbers of people in real time concerning conditions or issues affecting safety and travel issues. Residents are encouraged to register for the notifications by texting "08520" to the number 888-777 from their cell phone. Residents also will be enabled to register online in January on the Township website to receive the notifications via email. IMPORTANT NOTE: Regardless of your zip code, you must register using the zip code 08520 to receive East Windsor related Nixle alerts.
  5. East Windsor Residents Are Encouraged To Register Cellular Phone Numbers for the Local Township Reverse 9-1-1 System Used to Communicate in Emergency Situations. East Windsor Township uses the Mercer County Emergency Notification System to provide notifications to residents in case of emergency. Note that all listed land line phone numbers already are incorporated in the communications system. However, if residents and business owners wish to be provided emergency reverse 9-1-1 communications via an unlisted, unpublished or cell phone number, it is important that you register that phone number. Alternate phone numbers to be called also can be registered. Register online (CLICK HERE) on the Mercer County website. IMPORTANT NOTE: Regardless of your zip code, you must register East Windsor Township as your municipality to receive the proper notices.
