  1. REMINDER:   East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinic for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 10 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive).  Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive a vaccination valid for three years;  otherwise vaccinations of only one year duration will be provided.  For safety, all animals must be properly restrained by leash or carried.  For more information, contact the Animal Control Officer at (609) 448-5678, ext. 229 or (CLICK HERE).
  2. East Windsor Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 3Residents can support the event by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 3 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, followed by refreshments.  Citizens can participate by purchasing luminary kits, containing six candles, for $10 each, at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) at any time, or at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) Monday to Friday, from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., and bringing the luminary kits to the event.  All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.  For further information, call (609) 448-5678, ext. 231.


    Purchase Communities of Light luminary kits, with six candles, at the East Windsor Township Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) and East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) for $10 to raise funds for Womanspace.  East Windsor officials and citizens will asemble on Monday, December 3 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, as a beacon of hope for the victims of domestic violence and their families.

East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S. ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:   Volunteer Opportunity in Television Broadcasting Available.  If you are interested in broadcasting and would like hands-on training on a live, local television program, opportunities are available to work with the award winning "Spotlight East Windsor" program, one hour every other Wednesday night, at the East Windsor Municipal Building.  Volunteers will learn camera techniques, audio, lighting, video switching, videotape operation and much more.  Interested individuals should contact the Municipal Clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237 and provide your name and contact information.  For technical information, contact Dick Cunningham at (609) 443-1199.
  6. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions.  The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   7. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to “Disney On Ice: Mickey’s Search Party” on Saturday, December 29 (for 7 P.M. show) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 5 P.M.  The $60 cost per person includes motor coach transportation and admission to Club Box 11 which has a lounge and private restroom.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register.

Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to New Jersey Devils vs Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Game on Saturday, January 12, 2019 (for 1 P.M. game) at the Prudential Center in Newark.  The bus will depart from the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 11 A.M.  The $75 cost per person includes motor coach transportation, a ticket for entry to the game in Section 226, and a NJ Devils drawstring bag.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register.
  9. No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally, on Thursday, November 22, will be on the next scheduled collection day of Monday, November 26.  Garbage Collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Friday, November 23, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Tuesday, November 27.  Visit Township website at (CLICK HERE) to view the public works schedule.
