On Monday, December 28, the first such localized vaccination clinic for these priority Phase 1A eligible was held. The New Jersey Department of Health has established a phasing plan for eligibility for vaccinations, which timing will be determined by State officials. The next group Phase 1B will include seniors ages 75 and older and frontline essential workers. Then the next group in Phase 1C will include adults 65 to 74 years and adults with underlying medical conditions. After these phases are complete, then Phase 2 will be implemented for the general public to be eligible for vaccination. The timing of each phase will be determined by the New Jersey Department of Health as vaccines become more readily available, and that plan will continually be updated in response to any changing circumstances. The Township will continue efforts to offer accurate and timely information to inform all residents of the vaccination process, including who is eligible to receive the vaccine and where they may receive it. The property acquisition price of $220,000 was totally underwritten by New Jersey Green Acres and Mercer County Open Space grants, and no local property taxpayer monies were used in this purchase.
