June 26, 2026 - East Windsor Holds “Movie in the Park” TODAY, June 26 at 6 P.M. at Etra Lake Park, Featuring a Large Screen Showing of the Movie "Hoppers" preceded by music, dancing and face-painting. The movie is about an animal-loving college student Mabel, who transfers her mind into a lifelike robotic beaver to communicate with animals and save their habitat from human destruction, inadvertently sparking an uprising in the process. - Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program Funded by $12,200 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Continues TODAY, June 26 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Kids Kottage (659 Abbington Drive). The Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. East Windsor is holding a series of child safety seat inspection sessions over the 2026 spring and summer. For a full list of dates (CLICK HERE).
- East Windsor Independence Day Celebration Will Be Held on Friday, July 3 (rain date Saturday, July 11) at Etra Lake Park. Free entertainment begins at 6 P.M. with Jerry Rife's Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, a 6 piece band from the Delaware Valley area best known for its traditional jazz sound, followed at 7:45 P.M. by the Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One, a 6 piece ensemble from Central Jersey performing "Americana" and a variety of popular melodies. The spectacular Fireworks Display will commence immediately following the musical presentations, at approximately 9:30 P.M. Bring your blankets and chairs, and use the barbecue grills for a night of free fun at beautiful Etra Lake Park. There will also be vendors present selling refreshments. This free event is made possible through the generous contributions of many area businesses.
- Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Members of Council Will Hold Recycling Day and Document Shredding Event on Wednesday, July 15 from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Rain or Shine, at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). Free paper shredding services to securely dispose of unneeded personal documents and confidential files are available to East Windsor Residents Only, until the shredding truck is full. No commercial documents, and there is a limit of ten boxes per household. Plastic film recycling is available at the event, with accepted materials including, bread bags, grocery bags, air pillows, ziploc, bubble wrap, produce bags, dry cleaning bags, shipping envelopes and newspaper sleeves. Electronic recycling is available for computers, computer monitors, laptops and televisions. Also accepted for drop-off are fluorescent bulbs, cell phones and printer cartridges. - East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp Registration Remains Open. Recreation day camp is available for students entering grades Kindergarten through 9. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1, the Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2 through 6, and the 2026 Travel camps are offered for campers entering grades 5 through 9.
