  1. Early In-Person Voting Begins Tuesday, May 26 and Continues through Sunday, May 31 at Eight Sites in Mercer County, Including at the Hickory Corner Branch Library in East Windsor. Early Voting hours are 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M, Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County early voting sites below:
    • East Windsor: Mercer County Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    • Ewing: Mercer County Office Park, 140 Parkside Avenue
    • Hamilton: Colonial Fire House Company, 801 Kuser Road
    • Lawrence: Mercer County Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike at Darrah Lane

  2. Primary Election is Tuesday, June 2, and Polls are open from 6 A.M. to 8 P.M. For information on polling locations (CLICK HERE) or call (609) 443-4000, ext. 437. For individuals who want Vote by Mail (VBM) Ballots, the application can be obtained on-line (CLICK HERE) or at the municipal building. The deadlines to apply are Tuesday, May 26 by mail and Monday, June 1 by 3 P.M. in person. Completed Mail Ballots can be deposited in the Drop Box located at the municipal court/police building (80 One Mile Road) by Election Day at 8 P.M. VBM's returned by mail must be postmarked by Election Day.
  3. Mayor Mironov and the East Windsor Health Advisory Board Invite Residents to Participate in the Community Walk and Talk on June 6, at 9 A.M. at Etra Lake Park (9 Disbrow Hill Road). Mayor Janice Mironov and the East Windsor Health Advisory Board invite residents to participate in the Community Walk and Talk on Saturday, June 6, at 9 A.M. (rain date June 13) at Etra Lake Park (9 Disbrow Hill Road) as part of Mayor's Wellness Campaign. The Mayors Wellness Walk is the kick-off activity after the Township joined the Mayors Wellness Campaign, an initiative sponsored by the New Jersey Health Care Quality. The walk will be the Etra Lake Park Pathway which is approximately one mile in length and can be walked multiple times at the discretion of the participant. The Wellness Walk tag line is “Take a walk. Meet your neighbors. Feel better together.” Walk and Talk is a community wellness initiative designed to encourage physical activity, promote overall health, and strengthen connections among residents. Through a relaxed Saturday morning walk, participants are invited to enjoy a simple, accessible form of exercise while engaging in conversation, meeting neighbors, and supporting a shared commitment to community well-being. The goal of the Walk and Talk is to make health and wellness approachable for residents of all ages and abilities by encouraging regular movement, social interaction, and active participation in the East Windsor community.   4. East Windsor Township Approves Shared Services Agreement with Mercer County for Township Recycling Collection Services Starting June 1, to enhance operations and contain costs. Under the new arrangement, recycling services will be provided on a Township-wide basis in the Garbage District, every other Friday, replacing the current system system in which collections occur on alternating Wednesdays for different sections of the community. The first recycling collection under the new schedule will take place on Friday, June 5 and then Friday, June 19 and continuing bi-weekly on Fridays. The contractor will remain Interstate Waste Services now through the Mercer County contract. Residents continue to be requested to place recyclables curbside the evening prior to collection but no later than 7 A.M. on the service date. New Mercer County contact information will be provided for missed collection issues. Mercer County will accept the green and the yellow 32 gallon buckets, but has requested that use of the blue buckets be discontinued. Replacement buckets are available to Township residents provided by the County, and can be picked up at the Township Public Works facility (309 Ward Street) beginning today Friday, May 22. There will be no change in the items which can be recycled as a result of this contract change. The new updated recycling calendar and related information will be available on the Township website.   5. Click It or Ticket" Seat Belt Campaign Funded by $7,000 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS), will run from May 18 to May 31. The NJDHTS 2026 "Click It or Ticket" seat belt campaign is a statewide campaign aimed at increasing compliance with State law that requires the use of seat belts. These funds will be used to pay the salaries of Township police officers who will be assigned patrol activities directed toward the identification and ticketing of motorists who fail to use seat belts as required by State law.
  6. Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade Is Monday, May 25, and will kick-off at 9 A.M. at Grace N. Rogers Elementary School on Stockton Street in Hightstown. The route will proceed along Academy Street, Bank Street, and Main Street before returning to Academy Street, continuing to Morrison Avenue, and concluding back at Grace N. Rogers Elementary School. The annual community event will feature many local groups including veterans associations, rescue squads and fire companies, school musical groups, scout organizations, religious organizations and other area participants.
  7. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, May 25 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, May 25, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date, which is Thursday, May 28.
