  1. INFORMATION UPDATE on East Ward Street Bridge over Peddie Lake: At the Request of East Windsor Mayor and Council Members, as part of the Tuesday, September 30 Council Meeting at 5 P.M., Mercer County Will Provide Presentation and Updates on Replacement of the East Ward Street Bridge over Peddie Lake, which has been closed since April 4, 2022. Mercer County has provided the following design and construction notes: The bridge will be 32-feet wide with vehicle lanes and two 5-foot bike lanes on each side; A separate pedestrian bridge will be supported by a widened abutment on the right side; The historic trusses and pier will be maintained; and the approaches on both sides of the bridge will be repaved. The County also will provide a tentative timeline of actions in connection with the bridge replacement project.

  2. East Windsor Planning Board Approved Plans for Sprouts Farmers Market in East Windsor Village ("Target Center") on Princeton-Hightstown Road. Sprouts Farmers Market, one of the largest and fastest growing specialty retailers of fresh, natural and organic food in the United States, opened their first store in 2002. Focused on farm fresh produce and other healthy items, Sprouts offers everything from fresh meat and seafood, a full service deli, dairy, baked goods, natural or organic products, plus thousands of gluten-free, plant-based, grass-fed and non-GMO items. Sprouts also carries their own Sprouts-branded line of products. The supermarket chain, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, employs 35,000 workers and operates more than 450 stores in 24 states, including 5 in New Jersey. The East Windsor location will occupy roughly 23,000 square feet of the former Kohl’s store. Sprouts Farmers Market will employ a total of between 70 and 90 employees, with about a third of those employees working at the store at any one time. Sprouts Farmers Market is targeting to open to the public by Thanksgiving 2026.

  3. The Last Day to Register to Vote in the November 4 General Election Is Tuesday, October 14. Registration forms can be obtained online at www.njelections.org. or at the municipal clerk's office in town hall. If you need to check if you are registered (CLICK HERE).

  4. East Windsor Roadway Improvements to Dutch Neck Road, Dorchester Drive and Cambridge Way Continue with milling and paving. The roadway project includes Dutch Neck Road from the West Windsor border to Hickory Corner Road and Dorchester Drive from Dutch Neck Road south to the end, and all of Cambridge Way. Access will be permitted for local residents. The entire roadway work project is anticipated to be completed by Friday October 3, weather dependent.
