September 19, 2025 - Aurobindo Pharma Cuts Ribbon on New 170,000 Square Foot Facility on Windsor Center Drive. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, along with Mercer County Executive Dan Benson, joined Aurobindo Chief Executive Officer Swami Iyer and other Aurobindo executives and representatives for a ribbon cutting for the new 170,000 square foot building on the Aurobindo campus -- a state-of-the art pharmaceutical research, manufacturing and distribution facility on Windsor Center Drive. The new Aurobindo facility, constructed over a 10-month period, will predominantly house over the counter and injectable products, complementing the company’s existing distribution center which specializes in solid oral dosage forms. Additional walkways, a patio and seating areas were incorporated, plus enhanced landscaping and berming with deciduous, ornamental and evergreen trees, to integrate the new facility into the existing campus. The new 170,000 square foot building will join the existing 606,620 square foot Aurobindo building constructed in 2016 and the previously acquired 43,000 square foot Patscenter building on the Company’s campus along Princeton Hightstown Road. Aurobindo's expansion grows the Township's high-tech, pharmaceutical research and development Einstein's Alley corridor along Princeton Hightstown Road, also home to other significant businesses as Empower Pharma, Shiseido America, Getinge, RK Pharma, ForDoz Pharma and QTS Data Centers. Free paper shredding services to securely dispose of unneeded personal documents and confidential files will be available, until the shredding truck is full, to East Windsor Residents Only. No commercial documents, there is a limit of ten boxes per household. Plastic film recycling is available as part of the "Trex Recycling Challenge".Trex sponsors an annual challenge program rewarding groups who collect more than 500 pounds of plastics within six months with a free bench. Plastic materials accepted include bread bags, grocery bags, air pillows, ziploc, bubble wrap, produce bags, dry cleaning bags, shipping envelopes and newspaper sleeves. Electronic recycling is available for computers, computer monitors, laptops and televisions. Also accepted for drop-off are fluorescent bulbs, cell phones and printer cartridges. No other electrical items will be accepted. RISE will be on site to collect usable furniture, clothing, blankets and working household appliances and electronics.  - East Windsor Roadway Improvements to Dutch Neck Road, Dorchester Drive and Cambridge Way Continue with milling and paving beginning on or about Tuesday, September 23, weather permitting. The project includes Dutch Neck Road from the West Windsor border to Hickory Corner Road and Dorchester Drive from Dutch Neck Road south to the end, and all of Cambridge Way. Access will be permitted for local residents. The entire roadway work project is anticipated to be completed within 5 to 7 business days, weather dependent.
- INFORMATION UPDATE on East Ward Street Bridge over Peddie Lake: At the Request of East Windsor Mayor and Council Members, as part of the Tuesday, September 30 Council Meeting at 5 P.M., Mercer County Will Provide Presentation and Updates on Replacement of the East Ward Street Bridge over Peddie Lake, which has been closed since April 4, 2022. Mercer County has provided the following design and construction notes: The bridge will be 32-feet wide with vehicle lanes and two 5-foot bike lanes on each side; A separate pedestrian bridge will be supported by a widened abutment on the right side; The historic trusses and pier will be maintained; and The approaches on both sides of the bridge will be repaved. The County also will provide a tentative timeline of actions in connection with the bridge replacement project.
