July 11, 2025 - REMINDER: East Windsor Holds "Earth Wind Fire Tribute" Concert on Sunday, July 13 at 6 P.M. at Etra Lake Park. Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute Band is a group with roots in gospel music committed to recreating the style and music of the premier band of the 70's, 80'sand 90's. The EWF Tribute Band, based in Maryland, pays homage to one of the greatest bands of its era, bringing to life the sounds that continue to inspire and influence even contemporary entertainers, playing hits such as September, Boogie Wonderland, Let's Groove, Fantasy and more. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to Melvin H. Kreps School auditorium (5 Kent Lane, East Windsor).
 - REMINDER: Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members Hold Recycling Day Event on Wednesday, July 16, from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Rain or Shine, at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). Free paper shredding services to securely dispose of unneeded personal documents and confidential files will be available until the truck is full, to East Windsor Residents Only. No commercial documents, there is a limit of ten boxes per household. Plastic film recycling also is available as part of the "Trex Recycling Challenge".Trex sponsors an annual challenge program rewarding groups who collect more than 500 pounds of plastics within six months with a free bench. Plastic materials accepted include bread bags, grocery bags, air pillows, ziploc, bubble wrap, produce bags, dry cleaning bags, shipping envelopes and newspaper sleeves. Electronic recycling is available for computers, computer monitors, laptops, VCR's and televisions. Also accepted for drop-off are fluorescent bulbs, cell phones and printer cartridges. No other electrical items will be accepted. RISE will be on site to collect usable furniture, clothing, blankets and working household appliances and electronics.  - Grant Funded New Tennis Courts at Westfield Park and Basketball Court at Wiltshire Park Have Been Completed. The park improvements were funded by a $1.3 million state grant for parks and recreation improvements, applied for and received by Mayor and Council with the support of 14th district legislators. Westfield Park received complete resurfacing of the two tennis courts, line painting and the installation of a new fence enclosure. Wiltshire Park had the complete resurfacing of the basketball court as well as the repair of the basketball backboard and rim. The courts at both Parks are now open for play. The $1.3 million state grant funds also are underwriting other Township-wide park and recreation projects, including new play equipment and surface at Anker Park (completed), new play equipment and rubber surface at Woods Road Community Park, replacement of the pedestrian bridge connecting Wiltshire Park to Hickory Corner Road, and purchase and installation of an outdoor pavilion for the Senior Center. All outstanding projects are expected to be completed during summer 2025.
- East Windsor Holds “Movie in the Park” on Saturday, July 26 at 6 P.M. at Etra Lake Park, Featuring Large Screen Showing of "Mufasa", preceded by music, dancing and face-painting. The movie story is about Mufasa, a cub lost and alone, who meets a sympathetic lion named Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of a group of misfits searching for their destiny. - East Windsor Officials Will Be Hosting "National Night Out" on Tuesday, August 5, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the East Windsor P.A.L. Complex (30 Airport Road). This annual fun educational Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members in conjunction with Chief of Police Jason Hart, features displays of emergency services equipment, canine drug detection demonstrations, booths and displays by area groups and businesses with information and giveaways supporting the National Night Out theme, DJ provided music and refreshments. Youth games and activities will feature jumping/climbing inflatables, climbing obstacle course, face painting and air brush tattoos.
