  1. REMINDER: East Windsor Document Shredding Event on Saturday, May 1 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). Due to the overwhelming resident response to the April 17 Township Document Shredding Day, Mayor Mironov and Council Members have scheduled another Document Shredding ONLY Event. This event is for TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY. NO OTHER DROP-OFFS OR RECYCLING WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT.
  2. REMINDER: Township Environmental Commission Promotes Arbor Day with Free Giveaway of American Holly Tree Seedlings on Saturday, May 1 (rain date Saturday, May 8), beginning at 10 A.M. and continuing to 12 noon or until supplies run out, first come first served, at the East Windsor Police Athletic League fields on Airport Road. The American Holly is a New Jersey native wildlife-friendly evergreen tree with dark green, spine-tipped leaves and light gray bark. It is a slow growing, deer resistant tree that has tiny, greenish-white flowers that bloom in May and June and generates berry bearing fruit providing a food for birds during the winter, and provides a nectar source for honeybees and butterflies.   3. East Windsor Promotes Township Memorial Tree Program During Arbor Day, which is celebrated on the last Friday of April. The Memorial Tree Program offers residents a unique opportunity to provide a living memorial to a deceased relative or friend or in remembrance or commemoration of a special person, group or event, by the planting of a tree in the Township Memorial Tree Grove located on the grounds of the East Windsor municipal building. The tree, including tree planting and accompanying granite marker with the name of the deceased person or event to be remembered, can be ordered through the Public Works Department.   4. East Windsor Participated in Annual Watershed Institute Stream Cleanup on Saturday April 24. Over 80 volunteers participated and 706 pounds of trash and recycling were collected at Etra Lake Park. The Watershed Institute works with residents, municipal, county and state leaders and local groups on a wide variety of initiatives and actions to plan smart, grow community and preserve and protect our natural resources. Thank you to all of the great volunteers and to The Watershed Institute!






    Local volunteers, including Mayor Janice S. Mironov, Council Members Peter Yeager, Alan Rosenberg, and John Zoller, Business Ombudswoman Sherry Cronin, scouts, and area residents, gathered to participate in the 2021 East Windsor Township-Watershed Institute Annual Stream Cleanup at Etra Lake Park.
  5. East Windsor "Operation Medicine Cabinet" on Saturday, April 24 Collected Additional 31.5 Pounds, Resulting in a Total of 257 Pounds, of unused and expired prescription medications, which were turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. "Operation Medicine Cabinet" provides a secure and legal means to dispose of these prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reduces possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.
  6. Last Day to Register to Vote in the June 8 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 18. Registration forms can be obtained at the municipal building or on-line at www.njelections.org. For individuals who wish to Vote by Mail, the deadline to apply is Tuesday, June 1 by mail and Monday, June 7 by 3 P.M. in person. Mail ballots must be received by Mercer County by Election Day. Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237.
  7. PUBLIC NOTICE: East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Conducting Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during the overnight hours between 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. on the following dates. This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.     • April 26 through April 30: Twin Rivers and Centex areas.
    • May 3 through May 7: Windsor Regency, Georgetown, Cranbury Manor and sections of Route 130.
    • May 10 through May 14: Hickory Acres, Brooktree area, Renaissance area, Princeton East, Oak Creek Estates and sections of Route 130
