  1. East Windsor Township Participated in Womanspace "Communities of Light" on Monday, December 3, to raise funds for Womanspace and focus public awareness on the important issue of domestic violence and services available to victims.  Checks of support payable to Womanspace are still welcome (checks can be dropped off at the municipal building all month).  Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, Domestic Violence Response Team members, police officers, Peddie School students and many area citizens and businesses joined to light candles around the entire perimeter and walkways of the Municipal Building.  Communities of Light, benefiting victims of domestic violence, is sponsored by Womanspace, the primary non-profit organization in Mercer County providing crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  A tremendous turnout for the East Windsor event well exceeded 200 people including lots of students.  The mission of Womanspace, which is celebrating their 41st Anniversary, is to provide a comprehensive array of services to individuals impacted by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of women and their families.

  2. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S. East Windsor Residents Are Encouraged To Register Cellular Phone Numbers for the Local Township Reverse 9-1-1 System Used to Communicate in Emergency Situations.  East Windsor Township uses the Mercer County Emergency Notification System to provide notifications to residents in case of emergency.  Note that all listed land line phone numbers already are incorporated in the communications system.  However, if residents and business owners wish to be provided emergency reverse 9-1-1 communications via an unlisted, unpublished or cell phone number, it is important that you register that phone number.  Alternate phone numbers to be called also can be registered.  Register online (CLICK HERE) on the Mercer County website.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  Regardless of your zip code, you must register East Windsor Township as your municipality to receive the proper notices.
  4. East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Monday, January 7 at 5:30 P.M. at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard).  The public is invited to attend the largely ceremonial meeting at which the Township Council makes appointments to Township boards and committees, and does various recognitions.  Light refreshments will be provided following the meeting.
  5. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to “Disney On Ice: Mickey’s Search Party” on Saturday, December 29 (for 7 P.M. show) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 5 P.M.  The $60 cost per person includes motor coach transportation and admission to Club Box 11 which has a lounge and private restroom.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register.
  6. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to New Jersey Devils vs Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Game on Saturday, January 12, 2019 (for 1 P.M. game) at the Prudential Center in Newark.  The bus will depart from the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 11 A.M.  The $75 cost per person includes motor coach transportation, a ticket for entry to the game in Section 226, and a NJ Devils drawstring bag.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register.
