  1. REMINDER:   East Windsor Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 3.  Residents can support the event by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 3 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, followed by refreshments.  Citizens can participate by purchasing luminary kits, containing six candles, for $10 each, at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) at any time, or at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) Monday to Friday, from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., and bringing the luminary kits to the event.  All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.  For further information, call (609) 448-5678, ext. 231.


    Purchase Communities of Light luminary kits, with six candles, at the East Windsor Township Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) and East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) for $10 to raise funds for Womanspace.  East Windsor officials and citizens will assemble on Monday, December 3 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, as a beacon of hope for the victims of domestic violence and their families.
  2. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   3. East Windsor Residents Are Encouraged To Register Cellular Phone Numbers for the Local Township Reverse 9-1-1 System Used to Communicate in Emergency Situations.  East Windsor Township uses the Mercer County Emergency Notification System to provide notifications to residents in case of emergency.  Note that all listed land line phone numbers already are incorporated in the communications system.  However, if residents and business owners wish to be provided emergency reverse 9-1-1 communications via an unlisted, unpublished or cell phone number, it is important that you register that phone number.  Alternate phone numbers to be called also can be registered.  Register online (CLICK HERE) on the Mercer County website.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  Regardless of your zip code, you must register East Windsor Township as your municipality to receive the proper notices.
  4. East Windsor Awarded $5,500 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" 2018 Year-End Holiday Crackdown Enforcement Grant.  The grant, received from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, is to underwrite salaries of police officers for added enforcement activities directed at the detection and apprehension of intoxicated drivers.  The program, which runs from December 7 through January 1, is a statewide campaign aimed at improving public safety by encouraging responsible driving during the 2018 year-end holiday season.
  5. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to “Disney On Ice: Mickey’s Search Party” on Saturday, December 29 (for 7 P.M. show) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 5 P.M.  The $60 cost per person includes motor coach transportation and admission to Club Box 11 which has a lounge and private restroom.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register.
  6. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to New Jersey Devils vs Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Game on Saturday, January 12, 2019 (for 1 P.M. game) at the Prudential Center in Newark.  The bus will depart from the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 11 A.M.  The $75 cost per person includes motor coach transportation, a ticket for entry to the game in Section 226, and a NJ Devils drawstring bag.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register.
