  1. REMINDER: Mayor Janice S. Mironov to Present State of the Township Address at MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on Thursday, May 24, at the East Windsor Holiday Inn (399 Monmouth Street). Mayor Mironov's annual State of the Township Address will include a report on accomplishments and new business in 2017 as well as 2018 goals. Networking begins at 11:30 am, followed by lunch at noon, and program beginning promptly at 12:30. All business and interested members of the community are invited to attend. The cost of this luncheon is $40 per member paying in advance, $45 at the door, and $55 for non-members.   2. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Issued a Proclamation for National Volunteer Week and Recognized East Windsor Student Volunteers for Their Valuable Service on Township Boards and Commissions. The students, who are members of the Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission and Green Team, Health Advisory Board, and Recreation Commission, were presented with Certificates of Appreciation.

  3. Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade Is Monday, May 28, and will kick-off at 9 am on Stockton Street and proceed through the center of Hightstown. The annual community event will feature many local groups including veterans associations, rescue squads and fire companies, school musical groups, scout organizations, religious organizations, and other area participants. At the completion of the parade, refreshments will be served at VFW Post 5700 on Dutch Neck Road.
  4. "Click It or Ticket" Seat Belt Campaign Funded by $5,500 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS), will run from May 21 to June 3. The NJDHTS 2018 "Click It or Ticket It" seat belt campaign is a statewide campaign aimed at increasing compliance with State law that requires the use of seat belts. These funds will be used to pay the salaries of Township police officers who will be assigned patrol activities directed toward the identification and ticketing of motorists who fail to use seat belts as required by State law.
  5. Last Day to Register to Vote in the June 5 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 15. Registration forms can be obtained at the municipal building or on-line at www.njelections.org. For individuals who wish to Vote by Mail, the deadline to apply is Friday, May 29 by mail and Monday, June 4 by 3 pm in person. Mail ballots must be received by Mercer County by Election Day. Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237.
  6. No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, May 28 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, May 28, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, May 31. Public works schedules can be viewed on the Township website ,(CLICK HERE).
  7. Calendar: East Windsor Township Free Summer Events at Etra Lake Park:
    Saturday, July 7 (rain date July 14) East Windsor Independence Day Celebration: 6 pm, Jerry Rife's Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, 6 piece band from the Delaware Valley area best known for its traditional jazz sound. 7:30 pm, Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One, 6 piece ensemble from Central Jersey performing "Americana" and a variety of popular melodies. Approximately 9:30 pm, Fireworks.
    Saturday, July 21 at 7 pm Family-Night-In-The-Park: Large screen showing of the movie "Coco" preceded by inflatable rides and games.
    Saturday, July 29 at 6 pm Satisfaction: International Rolling Stones Show.
    Sunday, August 12 at 6 pm Real Diamond: An 11-piece professional band dedicated to the faithful recreation of the live "Neil Diamond" experience.
    Sunday, August 26 at 6 pm Infernos: A 12-piece band covering four decades of musical magic.
