  1. CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES (CLICK HERE)
  2. East Windsor Presented Preliminary Concept Plans for the Union Transportation Trail Extension at a Public Information Session Via Video on June 3, which can be viewed on-line (CLICK HERE). The proposed East Windsor Trail Extension plans, prepared by Hopewell Valley Engineering and funded by a $135,000 grant from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, will add approximately 3.2 miles to the existing Union Transportation Trail. The Township Trail Extension will commence at the Trail terminus at the Monmouth County/Mercer County border in the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area near the intersection of Old York Road (County Route 539) and Sharon Road, and will terminate at Airport Road near the intersection with Route 33. East Windsor Township has been awarded a $450,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for construction.
  3. ALERT: New Jersey Department of Transportation Has Scheduled a Roadway Milling and Repaving Project for the Entire Length of Route 133 in Both Eastbound and Westbound Directions to Begin on or about Tuesday, June 9. Temporary lane closures are expected but a minimum of one lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
  4. REMINDER: ALL Township Curbside Collection Services, including Twice a Week Household Garbage Collection, Were Restored, Effective Monday, June 1. For complete and current information (CLICK HERE).
  5. Since the June 2 Primary Election Was Rescheduled by the State to Tuesday, July 7, the last day to register to vote in the Primary Election is now Tuesday, June 16. Voter registration forms can be obtained on-line at www.njelections.org. or at the main entrance foyer to the Municipal Building. In accordance with Executive Order No. 144 (CLICK HERE) signed by Governor Murphy on May 15, 2020, Vote by Mail Ballots will automatically be sent to all "Active" registered Democrats and Republican voters without the need for an application and Vote by Mail Applications will be sent to "Active" registered Unaffiliated voters. All vote-by-mail return envelopes and vote-by-mail applications will have prepaid postage. A limited number of polling places will be available on Primary Election Day to vote by provisional paper ballot and for any voter with disabilities to vote on an ADA-accessible voting machine.
  6. 2020 CENSUS QUESTIONNAIRE REMINDER: As of June 1, the U.S. Census reports a self-response rate of 66.6% households for East Windsor Township. This compares to a Mercer County-wide rate of 63.8%, and a New Jersey rate of 62.6%. Help increase East Windsor's response rate, which will impact future funds and resources and political representation for the community. If your household has not responded, visit my2020Census.gov or call the 2020 Census toll-free at (844) 330-2020 to complete the short census questionnaire.

    Remember, all Census information is confidential, and an accurate count will be used to direct billions of dollars in federal and state funds to our state and local community and to determine political districts for Congress and state legislature.
