  1. East Windsor Officials Will Be Hosting "National Night Out" Community Celebration on Tuesday, August 4, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the East Windsor P.A.L. Complex (30 Airport Road). This annual fun educational Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members in conjunction with Chief of Police Jason Hart, features displays of emergency services equipment, canine drug detection demonstrations, booths and displays by area groups and businesses with information and giveaways supporting the National Night Out theme, DJ provided music and refreshments. Youth games and activities will feature jumping/climbing inflatables, a climbing obstacle course, face painting and air brush tattoos.   2. Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program Funded by $12,200 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Continues Tuesday, August 4 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the East Windsor P.A.L. complex (30 Airport Road) during National Night Out. The Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. This is the final child safety seat inspection of the 2026 sessions.

  3. East Windsor Holds "El Ka Bong" Concert on Sunday, August 2 at 6 P.M. at Etra Lake Park. From chart-topping hits to classic favorites, El Ka Bong brings a dynamic and electrifying performance to every event. El Ka Bong plays music across all genres and eras but considers themselves a “Modern Rock” band. The group is popular in Mercer and Monmouth County with regular appearances at Nottingham Tavern, Coopers Riverview, The Roost, and Pete’s Tavern. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Melvin H. Kreps School auditorium (5 Kent Lane, East Windsor).

  4. East Windsor Holds "Kickin' Wing" Concert on Sunday, August 9 at 6 P.M. at Etra Lake Park. Kickin' Wing is a dynamic, seasoned group of musicians who blend rock, pop and soulful hits from the 70s and 80s, priding themselves on tight chemistry, versatility and engaging stage presence. Kickin’ Wing has performed at a variety of venues and events including restaurants/bars, private events, and community gatherings such as Manchester Day, Jackson Township municipal events and Brick Township’s Traders Cove Concert Series. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Melvin H. Kreps School auditorium (5 Kent Lane, East Windsor).

  5. Township Holds Graduation for Students Successfully Completing the East Windsor Youth Police Academy Program. The Youth Police Academy was a week long program which offered 25 young residents entering the 6th, 7th and 8th grades the opportunity to interact with police officers and gain an understanding of modern day policing and an enhanced sense of community. The Police Department and East Windsor P.A.L. partnered to teach the classes, with Police Detective Thomas Nicola serving as Chief Instructor. Mayor Janice S. Mironov, Deputy Mayor David Russell and Council Members Richard Eland, Joseph Miczak, Johnnie Whittington and John Zoller were on hand to congratulate the graduating class of the 2026 East Windsor Youth Police Academy.

The 2026 East Windsor Youth Police Academy Class Graduation Ceremony took place at the Township Police/Court Building and was attended by parents, family and friends of the students, local officials, police officers, Chief of Police Jason Hart, Chief Instructor, Police Detective Thomas Nicola, Mayor Janice S. Mironov, Deputy Mayor David Russell and Council Members Richard Eland, Joseph Miczak, Johnnie Whittington and John Zoller.

  6. Grant-Funded Roadway Improvements to Abbington Drive, Lake Drive and Portions of Milford Road are Scheduled to Begin on or about Monday, August 3. The project is underwritten by two NJDOT grants totaling $1,425,781, successfully applied for by the Mayor and Council. The project includes the milling and resurfacing of Abbington Drive, Lake Drive and portions of Milford Road, as well as other associated improvements as necessary to concrete curbing and aprons, handicap ramps, and drainage. These roads are major connector roadways in the Township used extensively by residents and businesses connecting to Route 33 and in need of improvements. The project contract was awarded to low-bidder P & A Construction Inc. of Colonia, New Jersey. The roadway improvements are anticipated to be completed within eight weeks, weather permitting.

  7. NOTICE: The Mailing of Third Quarter 2026 Tax Bills, Originally Due August 1, Was DELAYED Due to Mercer County Delay in Certifying the Tax Rate. The Third Quarter payment grace period has been extended through August 24. Any payment received after August 24 shall by state law accrue interest back to August 1, 2026. The 2026/2027 tax bills will be mailed on or about Friday, July 31, 2026. Taxpayers meanwhile can view their tax bills on the Township website (CLICK HERE) and can pay through the Township on-line system or can await the receipt of the mailed tax bill. Tax payments also are accepted in person at the Municipal Building, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 P.M. Contact the Township Tax Office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 430 with any questions.
