  1. REMINDER: Stream Cleanup Co-Sponsored by The Watershed Institute and East Windsor Township TOMMOROW Saturday, April 18, from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Etra Lake Park, Rain or Shine. Pre-registration is preferred (CLICK HERE). Volunteers should wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and long sleeves, and bring work gloves. Trash bags will be provided. Adults must accompany minors.   2. Oath of Office Administered by Mayor Janice Mironov at the April 14 Council Meeting to Three New Police Officers -- Dominick Tarricone, Shawn Weeks and David Janssen. Police Officer Tarricone, who graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in February 2026, holds an Associate's Degree in Social Science from Ocean County Community College and previously served as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer with the Seaside Park Police Department. Police Officer Weeks is currently attending the Mercer County Police Academy and is scheduled to graduate in July of 2026, at which time he will join the Police Department. Police Officer Weeks graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and was previously employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Gridiron Forwarding Company. Police Officer Janssen also is attending the Mercer County Police Academy and is scheduled to graduate in July of 2026, at which time he will join the Police Department. Police Officer Janssen graduated from the East Brunswick Vocational and Technical School and was previously employed by the Middlesex County Utilities Authority. All three Police Officers will be assigned to the Uniform Services Division.

  3. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Administered Oath of Office to New Council Member Richard Eland at the April 14 Township Council meeting, who fills the vacancy created by the relocation out of state by Anthony Katawick. Council Member Richard Eland most recently served as a member of the East Windsor Planning Board, the Township Environmental Commission, and the East Windsor Green Team. Council Member Eland, an attorney, has been a real estate professional in New Jersey for 30 plus years. He is a volunteer with Meals on Wheels of Mercer County and WWFM - JazzOn2, and previously served as a committee chair with an area Boy Scout troop. Council Member Eland earned his law degree from New York Law School and his B.A. in history/philosophy from the University of Rochester.

  4. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Proclaimed April 14, 2026 Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust, known Internationally as Yom HaShoah. The Mayoral Proclamation states: "Between 1933 and 1945, more than six million of Europe's Jews, as well as others deemed "unworthy of life", were systematically murdered in the Holocaust," continuing "All peoples should remember these atrocities, should rededicate themselves to the principle of equal justice for all people and must remain eternally vigilant against all tyranny, recognizing that hatred and bigotry provide a breeding ground for tyranny to flourish. We recognize as Americans that each individual citizen is personally responsible for eternal vigilance against all tyranny and for speaking out against acts of brutality and oppression." The Proclamation proclaims April 14 Yom HaShoah, "in memory of the victims, survivors and their liberators, and in furtherance of the hopes that we, as a Township and as individual citizens, will strive to overcome prejudice, hatred and indifference through education, tolerance, vigilance and remembrance."
  5. East Windsor Proclaimed April "Alcohol Awareness Month" and Recognized East Windsor Regional School District Hightstown High School After Prom Committee. The Mayoral Proclamation states, "the After Prom Committee provides for a safe and substance free evening of entertainment and activities for all high school seniors and their guests at no cost and has been providing the event for over 33 years and during those years there have been no alcohol or drug related incidents on prom night." Mayor Mironov and Council Members also presented a $1,100 grant check from the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse (EWMAPSA) to the East Windsor Regional School District Hightstown High School After Prom Committee President Tara Cesaro, Christine Seminerio, HHS Parent Association, Decorating Committee and Sonia Rivera, HHS Parents Association Co-Secretary.

  6. Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program Funded by $12,200 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety Kicks Off on Tuesday, April 21, from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Twin Rivers Head Start (569 Abbington Drive). The Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. East Windsor is holding a series of child safety seat inspection sessions over the 2026 spring and summer. For a full list of dates (CLICK HERE).
  7. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members Proclaimed National Library Week April 19 to April 25 with the Theme "For a Richer, Fuller Life, Read" and presented Proclamations, along with donated Barnes & Noble gift certificates, to representatives of the two East Windsor libraries, Hickory Corner Branch and Twin Rivers Branch, of the Mercer County Library system. The libraries were recognized as key centers within our community, which provide valuable access to many diverse resources and serve as a center for community group meetings. The Mayoral Proclamation "encouraged all people to support and rediscover the wealth of resources and services available at the East Windsor Township libraries," further stating "Our public libraries safeguard the right of Americans to free access to read, learn and connect to information on all subjects and representing all points of view, serving as a cornerstone of our democracy."

  8. East Windsor Will Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet Saturday, April 25, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reducing possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township has a drop box in the lobby of the police/court building at 80 One Mile Road for the collection of these various medications. This special one-day collaborative event with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is intended to focus community attention on the importance and opportunity for secure and responsible disposal of medications. Collected medications will be turned over to the DEA on the next business day for final disposal. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.
  9. PUBLIC NOTICE: East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Conducting Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during overnight hours on the following dates. This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.
