Walmart Has Significantly Renovated the East Windsor Route 130 Store to a Full-Service Supercenter. The remodeled Walmart, which originally opened in 2005, features a significant increase in grocery offerings, a new pharmacy (including a private consultation room), an updated vision center and a larger selection of fashion, automotive, consumables and health and wellness products. The new service and product additions to the store have resulted in about 60 new jobs at the Supercenter, which currently employs 245 associates. - East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Sunday, January 4 at 1 P.M. at the East Windsor Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). The public is invited to attend the largely ceremonial meeting at which the Township Council makes appointments to Township boards and committees and does various recognitions. A reception and refreshments will follow the meeting.
- East Windsor Awarded $7,000 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" 2025 Year-End Holiday Enforcement Grant. The New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety grant is to underwrite salaries of police officers for added enforcement activities directed at the detection and apprehension of intoxicated drivers. The program, which runs from December 5 through January 1, is a statewide campaign aimed at improving public safety by encouraging responsible driving during the 2025 year-end holiday season.
- East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. - East Windsor Recreation Adult Pickup Basketball Registration Is Open. Adult Basketball is a non-competitive program offering residents the opportunity to stay active all winter and spring long without a commitment to a team. Limited spots are available to ensure fair playing time for all participants. The program takes place at Walter C. Black School, 371 Stockton Street, every Wednesday night 7 P.M. to 9 P.M.
