  1. East Windsor Township Awarded $443,258 NJ Department of Transportation FY2026 Grant for Roadway Improvements to Rocky Brook Road and Millstone Drive in the Cranbury Manor area of town. The Township will now proceed with the NJDOT mandated engineering work. Most recently, East Windsor obtained two grants of $490,932 and $525,000 for Abbington Drive, Lake Drive, and Milford Road, and two grants of $382,968 and $1,000,000 for Dutch Neck Road and Dorchester Drive, which work just was completed earlier this year. Prior grants included $575,000 for Beechcroft and connecting streets in 2023, $600,000 for Hawthorne Lane and connecting streets in 2022, $530,000 for Oak Branch Road and adjoining streets Pineybranch Road, Pinehurst Drive and Warren Drive in 2021, $600,361 for Exeter Road and adjoining streets, and $393,575 for Dutch Neck Road and Morrison Avenue in 2019.
  2. East Windsor Township Mayor Janice Mironov Named to Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill Transition Local Government Advisory Group. The bipartisan group is made up of 35 municipal and county elected officials from across New Jersey tasked with advising the Gubernatorial Transition, also named is Mercer County Executive Dan Benson. Mayor Mironov, long serving mayor of East Windsor, has previously served as President of the NJ Conference of Mayors and President of the NJ League of Municipalities, and is an active statewide voice for local governments through both organizations, including as chair or member of several policy committees, including affordable housing, energy tax receipts, healthcare, and state plan and development. Mayor Mironov and County Executive Benson are part of 35 members of elected local and county officials from across New Jersey who will “lend their expertise and perspective to the Transition Action Teams to ensure that local communities across the state have a voice in the upcoming Administration,” according to an announcement last week by Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill. Mayor Mironov looks forward to engaging with other elected officials and others on the transition team in identified key areas, such as expanding housing options and affordability, healthcare and health insurance reform, transportation infrastructure investments, economic opportunities, lowering costs and improving reliability for energy, delivering strong education and addressing children's mental health, and improving transparency and effectiveness of statewide government operations. The Local Government Advisory Group will facilitate discussions with the transition team and other key stakeholders, with the Advisory Group also seeking input from the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, League of Municipalities, Association of Counties, and Urban Mayors Association.
  3. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   4. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions. The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by mail to Mayor Janice S.
